- I am a teacher and single mother. I struggled to finish undergrad and my masters degree. I want to show my daughter by my actions that she can do ANYTHING! I have always wanted to have my own business so I have a legacy to leave my daughter.
I have worked in education more than 10 years. I hold a B.L.S., and a Masters in Education and English. I am also author of two poetry books, and two fiction books, and have an internet radio show.

Nefertari Imani Baraka is a poetess, singer, spoken word artist, and teacher in Dekalb County Georgia; though currently living in Georgia, she was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. A proud product of the Detroit Public School System she has been writing since the third grade. She mentors youth in her school and community. She is the author of several books.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Decatur Book Festival’s Book Market and Street Fair will be held August 30 and 31, 2008, on the historic Decatur square, and will be held rain or shine. http://www.nefertaribooks.com
