About Me:: Lavanda Michelle Coats, owner/event designer of Elite Events have planned and serviced hundreds of events including weddings, receptions, gallery openings, bridal and baby showers and corporate parties. I am knowledgeable in all areas of event planning including etiquette, decorating, and budgeting. I have received extensive training and is a Professional Bridal Consultant. I am a member of the Association of Bridal Consultants, and the American Academy of Wedding Professionals.

Elite Events is one of Illinois premier wedding and special event production companies. We are the leader in creating spectacular weddings that truly express the personality of both the bride and the groom.

Lavanda Michelle Coats known for her breathtaking event designs as well as her ability to coordinate events from intimate gatherings to grand galas. It is her passion for weddings that has allowed them to work with hundreds of wonderful couples.

The conception of Elite Events

When I was 13 I saw this quote "Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life! - Confucius," and it changed my life. A week later I went to work with my sister and saw the most beautiful wedding. I was on a mission I used everything I could find to plan a wedding for Ken & Barbie. I got in trouble for taking the best flowers from my mom vast; nothing was to good my client. That’s when my crush with event coordination started. I asked him out at 16 and it was the sweetest date ever. Event planning is my first love! Our courtship lasted seventeen great years and we just got married (for better or worst). We’re expecting our first child Elite Events.
