About Me:
I'm a married mother of 2 beautiful boys aged 3 years old and 10 months old. Before they entered my life, I discovered my desire to spread the gospel of entrepreneurship and what it could do to not only one's personal life but also to her community. In 2002, I read the Autobiography of Malcolm X and was changed because I noticed his description of the 1930s/40s was the same that I witnessed in the 1990s - 2000s - the economic engines of our communities were still being ran by people who did not look like us and at the time of my growing up, obviously didn't care about us. My predominately Black community in St. Louis was not moving up and that just didn't seem right. So I went on a mission. I applied to, matriculated in and graduated with an MBA from a top business school to learn that piece.

After graduation, I started consulting with small business owners and eventually joined a non-profit doing the same to really get a clear understanding of working with entrepreneurs (particularly minority) and helping people pursue their dreams - I loved it!

That said, I also had the entrepreneurial itch and the consulting wasn't scratching it. I could never figure out what I really wanted to do though. The birth of my second child brought a new sense of urgency to me and I finally have it figured out! I have found a business that I can relate to and have a strong, deep vision for it - Fun Spaces, an on-site child care service for special events and meetings. It is brand new and still in the start-up phase but I'm am very excited about it and where I want to take it. I created a business accountability group of fellow entrepreneurs to hold me (and really each other) accountable to building this business in the way that I would like. I'm expecting residual income from this in the long-term - I'm so excited!

In the meantime, I also started to build a business with quicker residual income potential. I was introduced to a company that offers eco-friendly household, personal, and wellness products which is a formula works perfectly for my family and my company Fun Spaces. I work it part-time, have received income from it already, and have not put too much money into it - also exciting!

Let me know if you are interested in hearing more about me and/or any of my ventures!

Take care and be blessed!

Welcome Yolanda!

Hi my name is Ludonna Jackson, and I am the author of a new children's book "Look At Me". As the mother of a seven year old girl I know the importance of positive role models for young girls of color that look like them. This is why I published "Look At Me", a fun picture book written in rhyme text about self-esteem and positive reinforcement for girls ages 2-8 years old. Please check out Look At Me here: https://www2.xlibris.com/bookstore/bookdisplay.aspx?bookid=64068
