OPPORTUNITY IS KNOCKING AT YOUR DOOR

Shalom and many blessings to you all. I apologize for the delay, but as I have mentioned before, there are a lot of opportunities out there, and we have been blessed to embark on many. From Real estate, to antiques, to stocks. They are out there, at bargain basement prices. When I spoke to a friend of our family several weeks ago, my first question to him was, what have you invested in? He replied that he was not brave enough to invest right now. He wanted to stay away from investing in stocks… Continue

LESS SPENDING MORE CREATIVE INVESTING

Now is the time to invest in assets like stock, commodities, antiques, etc. Since we are in recession there are a lot of opportunities to get in at the bottom and work your way up to the top. Why did Indy Mac and Bear Sterns close . "Fear". No matter how much you analyze this tragedy, people panicked and started pulling their money out. As mentioned before, the lesson that we all must learn from this event, is that you have to believe that you take care of your money better than anyone else.… Continue

PREPARE FOR YOUR BLESSINGS

I am so glad that I started this blog. I have met so many people that are exactly like me when I was younger. I laugh about it now, but I always had a plan a, b, and c. This was reflected in my finances and work habits as well. I had an account to pay my bills, one to cover that account just in case my first account fell short, and money stashed away for a rainy day, just in case both accounts fell into the red. I had three jobs. My main job was as a state worker. My second job was working for… Continue

THE SEARCH FOR HIDDEN TREASURES

When I was younger , my father who was in the military, was stationed in Turkey. So my family and I lived there for a while. While we were there my parents use to take my brother and I along to buy rugs and carpets. Again, as children my brother and I did not understand why were being dragged to different rug and carpet places. I did not think anything of it until a couple of years ago, when we started seriously investing in antique rugs and carpets. Turkey has several of the most expensive… Continue

PLANT SEEDS OF WEALTH AND CHANGE IN YOUR CHILDREN

Although my father and I have two different perspectives on Entrepreneurship and Real Estate, he planted the seed in me by always telling me that my long term goal was to work for myself and own at least 2 pieces property. When I entered my teens years he bought and taught my brother and I about stocks. Finally he hired us when he started his business. While my mother worked outside the home she soon became frustrated because she felt that she was not spending enough time with my brother and I.… Continue

NO ONE CAN TAKE CARE OF YOUR MONEY BETTER THAN YOU

I have decided to write this article in light of the recent closure and/or collapse, of Indy Mac and Bear Stearns. Those of you that have been directly affected in some way due to one or both of these unfortunate events, you are in our prayers. Could you imagine working hard each day and putting your earnings into a bank that you trust only to find out one day that bank is gone and any excess of funds over $100,000 are gone as well. Now imagine owning stock in one of the biggest firms on wall… Continue

STAY STRONG FOCUS, AND MOVE ON

There is a popular term used that says, “Let Go and Let Flow”. During my journey to prosperity, I learned many tough lessons, including the one that co-workers, bosses, friends and especially family will discourage you in different ways. I remember when I was younger and working for the state department. For a year I had a fantastic supervisor, who always encouraged and told me to focus more on my studies, and to not get comfortable working in my department. He was promoted and replaced. I… Continue

GET ATTACHED TO BEING UNATTACHED

Although I was not aware of Antique Furniture while I was buying houses, I still did not feel comfortable in spending money to buy furniture, when it would only depreciate in value. I believe if it were not for my dad specifically, and other friends and family giving me different pieces of items, I would probably only have the two pieces of furniture that I purchased, during the four years that I bought houses. I mention my father especially, because he used to bring over items that were thrown… Continue

ONLY FOR THE BRAVE

This is very sound advice, but unless you have nothing, you have to take the plunge. Go through your house, and tag all your items. Take an inventory of every single piece, except for food, clothing, computers, electronic, etc. The average person will buy 2-3 different sets of furniture during their lifetime, between 10-15 cars, and 2-3 homes. We have a client who retired at the age of 42 with a net worth of 1.3 million. When she first came to us, 7 years ago, her net worth was $130,000. She… Continue

PASSING YOUR WEALTH ON TO YOUR CHILDREN

How would you like to start your child out with $46,800 by the time they get to college. $50 a week for 18 years even with 0 interest comes to $46,800. We recently recommended to one of our family members to start buying 1 piece of Tiffany silver in any particular pattern, every week without fell. That's $1500 this year which should be approximately $120,000 when his daughter is 18. Now just imagine all the sodas, movies, toys, cell phone bills,… Continue

INVEST,INVEST,INVEST

Yesterday I was very disturbed while watching the debates. Millions of people tuned in closely to their radios, TVs, Computers etc, to listen to two men speak on the fate of their lives. We should be more in-tuned with our Father and Creator. While my family and I are Obama supporters, and feel that he can turn the economy around, it is just that, a feeling, and nothing is guaranteed. My point is that, it is very dangerous to only trust that man will… Continue

WHERE TO START

There is so much to choose from when it comes to investing. I have condensed our preferred method of investing into a solid portfolio mentioned in last week's topic. To create a successful portfolio, start off with precious metals. Gold, Silver, Platinum, etc are examples of precious metals, while all are good investments, especially if you can get a great discount, we will focus on silver since it is very undervalued and affordable. Within the past 3 months silver has fluctuated between $13.00… Continue

BUILDING YOUR PORTOFOLIO

There are several strategies to building a great portfolio. One of the best things you can do is to invest at least 25% of your assets in gold, silver, and diamonds (http://www.kitco.com/market/ ). This is done because you are investing in money. It is a safe and conservative investment for your portfolio. Unlike stocks and futures, it is also not just paper and it is a tangible item that you can keep in your possession. This money fortunately, appreciates in value as well.

MY PERSONAL PORTFOLIO

When I was younger I posed the following question to myself after watching a commercial for a show called The Lifestyles of the rich and famous (Why couldn't five people from that show pool a percentage of their millions of dollars together(instead of buying frivolous items of no value) and help victims of different disasters or feed and offer jobs to people from 20 - 30 homeless shelters. I quickly found out the answer to be that a majority of rich… Continue

NO MORTGAGES LESS HEADACHES

The real estate market can be tricky, but at the same time filled with so much opportunity for wealth. Unfortunately you have to be very careful with your purchase or you could end up being another victim of the increasing foreclosure rate in the U.S. There's your average two income family($75,000 - 100,000) who both work hard to keep their mortgage paid each month on their home. Year one ends with thousands of dollars invested in their home. Eventually… Continue

DEGREES WELCOMED BUT NOT REQUIRED TO BE WEALTHY

It is imperative that I commend all of you that have degrees. It took a lot of hard work for me just to get my bachelor's degree. While having a bachelors, doctorate, or PhD are achievements, they are not requirements for being wealthy. So not only am I speaking to those that were not able to attend college, but I am speaking to those that did as well. I commend those that don't have degrees also. Our family business envelopes two bachelors degree,… Continue

THE HIDDEN TRUTH ABOUT CREDIT

THE HIDDEN TRUTH ABOUT CREDIT

Credit can be a very sensitive subject especially if someone has a poor credit score. I say to those of you with A+ or B+ credit, good for you. For those of you with C+ or F again I say good for you. Ok let's begin our discussion on credit by looking at the advantages to having good credit. Credit cards or lines of credit are great for leverage. I purchased a property with line of credit without any money coming out of… Continue

HEALTH IS WEALTH

For a very brief period of my life I use to surround myself with millionaires or people who thought they were millionaires. One thing I noticed in that journey was that they were not healthy at all. I remember being told that an associate could not meet with us because he was taken to the hospital after having a heart attack. Although this was a very wealthy man it did not stop him from getting sick. I don't understand why things like steak, lobster,… Continue

SILVER SPOONS FOR OUR CHILDREN

Today's big question is "Should Our Children be born with Silver spoons in there mouths?" The answer is "Absolutely". Gold or Platinum is even better. As mentioned in our first blog it is the obligation (as parents and guardians) we have in sustaining our cultural heritage, and investing all our talents wisely. Scriptures tells us throughout that we are to be prosperous an wealthy in silver, gold, and land. We must ask ourselves especially for our… Continue

Use Your Resources Wisely

It is important to step out of the mentality of cyclical poverty into the land of freedom, wealth, and prosperity. Ironically you can't do that if you are spending frivolously and not taking advantage of your resources. While I lived in NY I did not use Public transportation. I did a lot of walking. Now that we are in West Virginia my son and I still walk, and bus rides are .50(yes, 50 cents) per ride. So that option is available although we do have a… Continue
