fear (31)

You block your dream when you allow your fear to grow biggerthan your faith. ~Mary Manin MorrisseyOne thing I see over and over is the evidence of fear inwomen's lives. These are the same women who so want toembrace the idea of women's empowerment. It is possibleto break free, however, as I say empowerment is a choice andso is breaking free from fear. What is fear?Fear is an emotional response to a perceived threat. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in responseto a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. Some psychologists such as John B. Watson, Robert Plutchik, andPaul Ekman have suggested that fear is one of a small set of basicor innate emotions. This set also includes such emotions as joy, sadness, and anger. Fear should be distinguished from the relatedemotional state of anxiety, which typically occurs without anyexternal threat. Additionally, fear is related to the specificbehaviors of escape and avoidance, whereas anxiety is the resultof threats which are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable. From wikipediaAlthough there is good fear which for instance is a responsegiven when we sense danger I am talking about the negative aspect of fear. Here are three reasons that you must break free from fear now!Fear is a Dream KillerLike procrastination, fear is a thief of time and I know all to wellabout this one. There are many opportunities that have been lostbecause of fear. I'm sure you can think of some missed opportunitiesof your own. This will continue to happen unless you break free. The life of your dreams is at stake. You must break free now!Fear is a toxinOur subconscious mind receives messages from our thoughts and actionsand it doesn't know whether it's a temporary or insincere thought. No, our subconscious mind gets to work on whatever we send its way.So in essence fear is a toxin to the subconscious mind.Fear is not a part of God's plan and is not from GodIn the bible we read that God has not given us a spirit offear but He's given us power, love and a sound mind. So ifGod didn't give it to us then we shouldn't have it and ithinders the flow of blessing on our lives.Your goal should never be to focus on totally being free from fear, that would be unbalanced, however, you should learn keys and thenecessary mindset shifts needed to empower you to live a life freefrom the bondage of fear. What will you do if you never break free? You don't have to waitany longer. Join me for a free call Secrets to Breaking free fromfear, overwhelm, procrastination and low self esteem. It happens Friday, January 15 at 11:00 AM PST, 1:00 PM CST,2:00 PM EST. Can't make the call? Insight into Failure - Could This Be You?

In the past, I have joined many MLMs and have failed! Yes! I failed! I spent more money than I made and more time than I should have by staying when clearly I was not ready for the business opportunity. What I realized only recently, after joining an awesome MLM organization, is that I did not fail because the business opportunities were not good. The products were really great, and I loved them and believed in the company. The reason I failed at MLM was I was not ready for the business opportunity! What I mean by this statement is this:* I did not believe in myself* I did not believe in my own ability to succeed* I had low self-esteemI had all kinds of fears:* Fear of failure* Fear of rejection* Fear of not succeeding* Fear of making mistakesThese kinds of thoughts or mindsets will sabotage any great opportunity that presents itself to you. I have come to learn over the years that you have to be ready before opportunity knocks. If you are not prepared, and you go into a business opportunity or even a job opportunity, you will fail, become negative, frustrated, and you will eventually give up and quit.Success and financial freedom does not just happen. You have to prepare for it so that when it comes you will be able to not only handle it, but you will be able to maintain what you have obtained while you reach for new levels of success and opportunities.Toxic core beliefs (mindsets/thought patterns) need to be identified and detoxed from your thinking. If you do not, they will pollute and corrupt every thing you attempt to do. Your toxic thoughts or core beliefs will cause you to sabotage your own efforts to succeed and experience financial freedom. This will eventually cause you to experience a cycle of failures that can go on for a lifetime, if not dealt with.It does not matter how much positive affirmations or faith confessions you make if your core beliefs are rooted in negativity and unbelief. You will always move in the direction of what you truly believe. Have you ever heard the saying, “People say one thing and do another?” What you actually do or do not do is all predicated on what you really believe about money, business, success, people, the world, etc.The best way that I know of to identify or discover what you really believe (your core beliefs) is to become aware of what you are saying to yourself. The best time to do this is when you are under pressure or you are experiencing adversity in your life. What do you say to yourself when you make a mistake? How do you feel when someone says no to your opportunity? Do you call yourself negative names or put yourself down?Keep a journal to document your answers. When a difficult or challenging situation arises in your life, how do you respond? In your journal document the following: (1) What was the situation/circumstance (your trigger). 2) Write your response. 3) How could you have handled it differently? 4) Change the negative core belief to an empowering one. Confess or speak them over yourself daily, especially early in the morning and just before going to bed. Look at yourself in the mirror and tell it to yourself until you believe it. This is a way to renew or reprogram your subconscious mind.Great opportunities happen when preparation and opportunity meet! Decide what it is you want and what it take to get it. Then be willing to prepare and do whatever it takes! Remember this: failure is not fatal nor is it final; giving up on your dreams and goals is!Author: Yvonne Carson, M.Div., MA, MFT is the author of several e-books: The Courage to Change: Healing from Emotional Wounds that Bind You (An Interactive Workbook for Healing and Restoration); Wisdom and Life Lessons from the True Vine; Whatever You Seed You Will Receive: 50 Power-Packed Personalized Faith Confessions. You could be losing thousand's , maybe millions!Life is passing you by!"Time is fulfilling its assignment waiting on no man.Are you fulfilling your assignment waiting on no man,no-thing?" ___Robin TrambleIf we could reap the benefits of the riches in a placecalled the grave we would probably be able to settlethe financial challenges of this world. Unfortunately wecannot do that. The grave is filled with good intentions. What will good intentions do for them now?I was speaking with a new-found friend and webegan talking about how we are getting older andto what can our lack of success be attributed. Wereached an agreement on one area in particular....procrastination.There is a psychological aspect to the activity of procrastinating. It is known that we can tend to develop a habit that is learnedby our doing certain activities, which don't result in asatisfactory manner, and therefore it may cause us to feeldiscouraged. After continued episodes we don't desire or arenot inspired to continue in that manner. When an opportunitydoes arise for another episode we withdraw because of ourassociation with past feelings surrounding this area.Let's look up the word: ProcrastinationVERB: Inflected forms: pro•cras•ti•nat•ed,pro•cras•ti•nat•ing, pro•cras•ti•natesINTRANSITIVE VERB: To put off doing something, especially out of habitual carelessness or laziness.TRANSITIVE VERB: To postpone or delay needlessly.http://www.bartleby.com/61/82/P0578200.htmlLaziness? Yes, it includes laziness. If we're honest withourselves we can find some areas of laziness where itconcerns pursuing our goals, completing tasks, taking timeto show love to our loved ones with a phonecall, letter, card or even a visit. My husband and I have experienced the grief of feelingthe urge to call a loved one and express our love onlyto receive a call one week later that this individual is gone.Pain? Yes! Did we learn anything from that experience. Most definitely, we don't put off calling our loved ones.My question would be why do we put off doing something? Why do we postpone or delay needlessly? You'll find the following asnoted in my ebook The Dynamic Power of Focus1. Fear - I believe we are held captives by our fears of failure, incompletion, anxiety etc.2. Lack of purpose - If we would search for the fullness of ourpurpose in life we would be ignited with a passion for life andpursue avenues to propel us toward our goals.3. Lack of passion - Passion will drive you, energize you andpull you toward success. Passion will move you toward acontinued pursuit of success in live.4. Health challenges - If your health is in a poor state, you will postpone activities that tend to remind you ofexhaustion, pain, discomfort etc. There are a few steps you can take to begin your journeyto overcome procrastination.Prayer - Father God is ready and willing to help you.Ask Him for supernatural wisdom, knowledge and understanding.Re-ignite your passion for your purpose in life.If you don't know your purpose, one simple way is to takeinventory of what you enjoyed as a child. What is it that you woulddo whether you were paid or not. Many times we are influencedby family, friends or society away from certain activities thatwe truly enjoyed.Begin setting short term reachable goals. Don't start with a goalsuch as "I will lose 20 lbs in 30 days". You are settingyourself up for the feeling of failure and incompletion. You want to setyour self up for victories. Start with things you can do daily towork toward reaching your long term goals.Reward yourself for achieving your goals.Spend time daily reading the bible. Prayer and reading your biblewill re-freshen your vision for life. The above are a few steps to set you back on the road to productivitywhich will ultimately result in good success. Do you want to live?Procrastination is stealing lives, ideas, relationships, destiny andthe list goes on.Don't wait till tomorrow. Who knows whether it is promised.(c) Robin G. Hiding From Our Greatness

I am often struck by the number of people who have extraordinary gifts and talents, but are afraid to expose them to the world. How many extremely talented people do you know who are hiding their greatness? All of us have something unique and special to offer. Oftentimes we hold back and only scratch the surface of what we could be. All of the symptoms of hiding are really the same in each of us. It’s either something in our past, an incident that we felt shut the door to a promising future, or an erroneous message that we gave too much “air-time” to. Many of you may be in a job or career that stifles your greatness. But for some unconscious reason, you have chosen to sit quietly and hope for the best. Or maybe you have this great idea for a business and you’ve done all the ‘leg work’ to get it going — but fail to launch.Remember as kids when you used to play the game ‘hide and go seek.’ The person hiding went to great lengths to be inconspicuous (ducking, dodging and shifting places) to be safe and not found. However, the “seeker” takes great pride in their ability to launch into action. The challenge to find what was hidden created adrenaline that lead them on a path to endless possibilities and discoveries — their greatness. Think about it. It takes more effort to hide and stay small than to come out of hiding and do the work.I had a problem with ‘failure to launch’ in the workplace before I made the transition to explore my greatness. I clung to the safe positions. You know, the ones that kept you hidden in a cubicle, never challenging your intellect, never requiring you to present an idea/project: the one’s that pigeonhole you. The moment I made the transition to come out of hiding and step into a career that harnessed my greatness (helping other’s realize their greatness), it changed my life in ways I never imagined.Hiding BehaviorsEver wonder why your career or entrepreneurial venture seemed to ‘fail to launch’ to what you desired it to be? The real truth is your behavior(s). These are behaviors you may or may not be consciously aware of. But if you really dig deep enough you will discover that you haven’t been much of a “seeker” in exercising your greatness. What you have been communicating and actually doing is playing “peek-a-boo” with yourself. Instead of putting yourself out there and getting known in the workplace/marketplace, you do a little here and a little there. I’m speaking to those who never seem to feel they are ready and to those who hide behind fear. Here’s what hiding behaviors might look like:· The Perpetual Student – “I’m almost there, I need more training, seminars, etc.” Always preparing, never doing.· The Marketing/Branding Wimp – “ I’ll do a little and leave the rest to chance.”· The ScaredyCat – “I don’t want to be in their face.” Doesn’t want to seem aggressive.· The Procrastinator – “ I’ll do it tomorrow.” Waits till the last minute, next week, next month, next year…· The She Who Would Be Everything – “I can do it all.” Wants to do everything, never committing to one thing and doing it well.Reasons We HideWe are afraid of all sorts of things. If you ask most people what they are afraid of they’ll tell you, “nothing really.” But if you engage them in thoughtful conversation, you’ll really find out the truth. Some fears may seem trivial to others, but very real to the person who is experiencing them. We hide our greatness for many reasons. Reasons that keep us on the launching pad so long that we lose our flame for what we once hoped for: a promotion, career change, competitive salary, thriving business, and much more. So why aren’t we being our greatest selves? Some of those reasons may be…1. Fear of becoming big and powerful in the world.2. Fearing we might fail and how that is going to look to our colleagues, friends, family.3. Afraid of being found out – we aren’t as smart as we appear to be.4. Fear of looking or sounding stupid.5. Listening to a spouse or family member(s) that may not be supportive.6. Fear that our success will take us far from our comfort zone.7. Fear of money (management, bad decisions).8. Fear of making powerful connections and having influence.9. Fear of what will people think? How will they treat me?10. Holding on to old worn out messages from the past.Ask yourself this question: “What is it costing me to stay hidden in my career, business?”If you are ready to say, “Here I AM” to the world and need help doing so, contact me for a complimentary coaching session.Make the transition to greatness easier: check out my Free Special Report on, “Six Steps To Moving The Mountains In Your Life”.

Overcoming fear

Overcoming fear© 2008 Robin TrambleHave you ever been hindered by a fear of success (or a fear of failure)?Have you ever received news that seemed to immobilize you with fear?Fear tried to grip me when I was awakened at 2:30 in the morning by my daughter's voice with these words "mom, I can't see!." Well, she recovered and my daughter , my family and I overcame the fear, doubt and unbelief.Faith is the opposite of fear. Doubt and fear are the cousins.People everywhere are beginning to live in a state of fear. There is good fear and bad fear. Fear was also designed to warn us and protect us from certain things, however, for the most part people become in bondage to the negative fear. What is fear?Fear is an emotional response to threats and danger. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of pain. You can begin to overcome fear by following a few of the keys below.1) Recognize fear as the following acronym: False – Evidence – Appearing – RealUsually we fear the outcome of the unknown. The evidence that is presented beforeyou is not necessarily truth. So it is key to know that it is only the way it appears, it is an illusion so to speak. We have somehow allowed ourselves to believe that it is real.2) Identify the source of your fear: Where does your fear stem from? Do you find yourself becoming bound by fear when facing new tasks? Could this be a result of the negative responses you received when coming up in response to your failures? Do you become bound by fear when you approach certain types of relationships? Does fear try to grip you when in confrontational situations at work? Identifying the source of your fear plays a key role in overcoming your fears.3) Develop courage: Courage, also known as bravery, will, intrepidity, and fortitude, is the ability to confront fear, pain, risk/danger, uncertainty, or intimidation. You can see by the definition that courage is very important to develop when learning to overcome your fears. You cannot be passive when dealing with fear. You must confront it head on. You must do as the last key listed below andthat is to continue in the face of fear.4) Continue in the face of fear: You must acknowledge that Fear is a spirit.2 Timothy 5:7 states “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. When you realize that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind, you can continue in the face of fear. You must face it head on.Be empowered through your union with Father God, embrace the power that it ours. Put on love and receive a sound mind. This will help you to counteract fear and continue.5) Build your confidence: A lack of confidence only fuels the spirit of fear. Learn strategies for building your confidence. The more confident you are the more you will be able to face fear head on and you can also begin to embrace courage.Fear will immobilize us, steal our destiny, health and relationships. Fear empowers us to FAIL. Faith is just the opposite. Live by faith and begin to enjoy a life of freedom, freedom from a lifestyle of fear.Utilize the above keys to overcoming your fears. Don’t read them, but select one to focus on and write it down. Think about some actions you can take to bring life to the key chosen. Write them down and at weeks end update with your progress. These are just a few suggested keys to overcoming your fears.Visit here to access a free resource to aid in your effort in overcoming fear.http://www.robintramble.com/Teleseminarschedule.htmlFree eBook 15 POWERFUL tips towards boosting self esteem and confidenceWhat’s holding you back from achieving all you desire? How would you like to see some of your dreams come true in under a year?Robin Tramble is your empowering, mentoring, Trainer/Coach. I Hope!

I hope that I will always be for each personwhat he or she needs me to be.I hope that each person’s death will diminish me,but that fear of my own will never diminish my joy of life.I hope that my love for those whom I like will never lessenmy love for those whom I do not.I hope that another person’s love for me will neverbe a measure of my love for him or her.I hope that everybody will accept me as I am,but that I never will.I hope that I will always ask for forgiveness from others, but will never need to be asked for my own . . .I hope that I will always recognize my limitations, but that I will construct none.I hope that loving will always be my goal, but that love will never be my idol.I hope that everyone will always have hope.-Henri NouwenI read this poem and cried! SUCCESS MATTERS

I once heard it said that success has a myriad of meanings. Success is something that each person must define for themselves based on what their personal, financial, educational. . . goals are. Hence we can be perfectly successful as parents while being abject failures aesthetically.Personally I've achieved a measure of success with respect to entrepreneurship several times. Now that I'm seriously preparing for my twilight years and introspectively looking at those years that have gone before me. I realize more than ever that those who have stayed the course of their goals, in spite of all of the obstacles they've come face to face with, are people who have achieved success in more areas of life than "average" people can imagine. For success breeds success while complacency breeds futility.Looking at models of the type of success I aspire to achieve, I know that age, circumstances, education or lack thereof . . . are only legitimate reasons if we allow them to be. Marianne Williamson said it best:Our Greatest Fear - Marianne WilliamsonOur greatest fear is not that we are inadequate, but that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that frightens us.We ask ourselves,Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, handsome, talented and fabulous?Actually, who are you not to be?You are a child of God.Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us.It is not just in some, it is in everyone. And, as we let our own light shine,we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.As we are liberated from our fear, our presence automatically liberates others.Let us take courage, move forward in life confidently. Let us purposely and diligently work toward living the lives of our dreams. Let us be the embodiment of the success we desire.Peace & blessings to you and everyone who loves you.
