Traction Alopecia, a hair loss condition caused by constant pulling or tension over a long period generally occurs in persons who wears tight braids, especially "cornrows" that lead to high tension, pulling and breakage of hair. This condition can lead to temporary or permanent hair loss due to damage to the hair follicles. This condition is most common in African-American women and men who braid their hair too tightly, it is reversible if diagnosed early on and the abuse stops. In Traction Alopecia, hair loss is often in the frontal and temporal regions, when the hair is constantly pulled back in a ponytail, bun or cornrows. Although, it can also appear where ever the hair is pulled to tightly; for example in the areas were plaits or cornrows are tight. Traction Alopecia can also occur due to over processing the hair with dyes and relaxers, so it’s imperative to follow instructions closely and to do a strand test to make sure the hair is strong enough to withstand these types of treatments. The obvious way to stop traction and traumatic alopecia is by wearing styles that aren’t too tight and be sure to switch up your hair style. Do not be afraid to stop your braider if they are pulling the hair too tightly and again, be mindful of the chemicals you are having applied or are applying to your hair. Alopecia is detecting it early. Hair styles that put unnecessary strain on the hair root must be changed for "looser, gentler hair style. Unfortunately, no medical treatment is available to reverse late-stage traction alopecia. WOW this has been an amazing year for me. I started a business, I have been married for one whole year (whew) it has been a tremendous blessing. Everybody knows the story behind the browser wars between Netscape and Internet Explorer; the marketing battles between Apple and Windows; the fight for prominence between WordPerfect and MS Word. Microsoft is simply better at bringing their product to the masses than anyone else in the industry.In the Black community, you have Burger King across the street from McDonalds….on the Net you have BlackPlanet one click away from AOL’s Black Voices. Both are owned by white corporations that see the viability of the Black dollar, so don’t tell me there is no room in the marketplace for an iZania.com or BlackBusinessSpace.com.If you build a better mousetrap the world will beat a path to your door….Number 3: Computing Will Spread EverywhereIn the 1980s, when the computer was still mostly a novelty, Gates expressed his vision that there would one day be "a computer on every business desk and in every home." That vision has nearly come true in the United States, and it's likely to become a reality that will spread across the globe in the decades ahead.The same vision applies to cellular/mobile technology today. It fools smart people into thinking that they can’t win.Number 1: Software MattersWhen Microsoft first launched in the 1970s, the computer business was all about the hardware. It was Gates and his vision of what people could do with computers that moved software to the center of the computing experience.The same is true today. As cell phones are becoming televisions, and televisions are becoming computers, technology has moved out of the business arena and billions of people are discovering how multimedia devices can change their day to day lives. Fighting Acne

TAX CREDITS OF INTEREST TO SISTAPRENEURSEach year thousands of taxpayers claim a variety of tax credits for which they are eligible. Tax credits are valuable in that they are a dollar for dollar reduction of taxes owed. Some credits are even refundable— meaning your taxes could be reduced to the point where you could receive a refund rather than simply owe less tax. Five of the most common credits are discussed below:1. The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)—a refundable credit for low income working families and individuals. Income and family size determine the amount of the credit that you qualify for.2. The Child and Dependent Care Credit— for expenses paid to day care providers or other caregivers for the care of children under 13 or a disabled spouse or dependent (can include a parent or other elderly family member) to allow the taxpayer to work or look for work.3. The Child Tax Credit—for people who have a qualifying child. The maximum amount of the credit is $1,000 per qualifying child under the age of 17. In certain circumstances, you can also claim an “additional” child tax credit.4. The Retirement Savers Credit— a credit for taxpayers who contribute to an IRA or employer-sponsored retirement program (e.g., 401(k)).
