Major Culprit of Black Hair Issues Shampoo can leave your hair dry and brittle, which will lead to broken and damaged hair. Some Black women don't wash their hair often because they are afraid of the drying effect washing has...Well guess what, it's not washing your hair that is leaving it dry, it's the shampoo you are using. 90% of shampoos contain SLES Sodium Laureth Sulphate and.or Sodium Lauryl Sulphates. These ingredients are the same ingredients you will find in dish washing liquid, laundry detergent and other household detergents...See why your hair is so dry? My shampoo doesn't contain either and will leave your hair soft and moisturized. It contains natural oils such as avocado oil, jojoba oil, olive oil and more...The shampoo is so moisturizing, you can use it EVERY day...Black women should wash their hair once a week, especially if you are using products on the hair that may lead to build up on the scalp. Not only does a clean scalp lead to healthy hair, but the massaging action of washing your hair will stimulate your scalp and assist in growing your hair, not to mention head massages are very relaxing. To check out my products, go to www.fabulousblackwoman.com and see what my customers are saying about Sweet Nature Natural Hair Care by Eddie

Mobile Blogging

Mobile Blogging is on the Cutting EdgeMobile blogging is an exciting phenomenon that is sweeping the blogosphere. One of the reasons why a lotof bloggers are attracted to the medium of blogging in the first place is that they enjoy being able to makefrequent updates and posts that keep all of their visitors up to speed with current situations. Mobile blogs, or"moblogs," take this to the extreme by allowing users to post things literally as they happen. This new wave ofmoblogs and mobloggers keep web surfers up to date with good and bad events of importance as they occurall over the world, helping to make international communication faster and more accurate. Many people feel that the limitations of blogging have a lot to do with geography. After all, there is only socurrent that a blog can be when you need to run home and boot up in order to update it. However, mobileblogging marks the beginning of an thrilling new era when web-based communication can happenspontaneously from any location. Moblogging devices mean that there is almost nowhere on the planet thatremains off-limits for bloggers.Mobile blogging is still in its infancy because the technology that makes it possible has only recently hitthe global market. The first moblog technology became available over a decade ago, but it is only the past twoor three years that mobile web devices have become user-friendly enough to appeal to most consumers. Ascamera phones and other mobile technology become more popular, more and more bloggers are getting awayfrom their desks and are hitting the streets. Moblogging is becoming much more widespread that it was even afew months ago, and mobloggers are quickly attracting a lot of attention with the blogging community. It is notyet clear whether moblogs will become the dominant kinds of blogs in the years to come, but the currenttrend seems to imply that moblogs are here to stay.Mobile devices make it possible to blog from the sites where current events are unfolding, which is one of thereasons why mobile blogging has so much thrilling potential to revolutionize the blogosphere. A mobloggerwith a camera phone can post blog entries from, say, the foot of the podium at a presidential speech, or from thestands during the final moments of the world series. This enables bloggers to experience the same real timethrills that live television coverage provides, but in a more democratic medium. The combination of mobilityand individual control that moblogging provides certainly places mobloggers on the cutting edge oftoday's communications technology, and it is hard to imagine that the number and prestige of moblogs willnot continue to grow in the coming years.Barbara Howard

Hello my fellow Sistahprenuers!I am sure that you can all relate to the flashy lifestyle of my hometown Detroit, Michigan and other major cities like it. Well, I wrote a book about it and as I am sure you can imagine that it is filled with all of the drama, scandal and action that accompanies a lifestyle based on acquiring material possessions! The book is in the final stages of publication, but in the meantime it is available for review and pre-order. Check out my website, www.monicamariejones.com for details! Just to give you an idea, please find the synopsis below....FLOSSBy Monica Marie JonesSynopsisIn the world we live in people are divided into three main social classes. The Upper class is comprised of the immensely wealthy and powerful. The Middle class consists of managers and highly paid professionals, and the Lower class is made up of people who are paid average or low wages, receiving "welfare", unemployed or homeless. In Detroit and other cities like it, a fourth social class has emerged in the minds of those who occupy it that falls somewhere in between the middle and upper classes.Unlike the other classes, the fourth is more of an active state of being. It is a verb. People in this class act out and represent what it means to be in the upper middle class. The fourth class is called FLOSS.Friends since childhood, Abel, Solomon, and Jabez strive to climb the social ladder. Cousins Dionysus and Torah strive to climb that same ladder, but they would much rather travel on the backs of men like Abel, Solomon and Jabez.Tyse wants to climb that ladder as well in the company of men like Abel, Solomon and Jabez while attracting women like Torah and Dionysus. Will they all be able to get up the ladder without pulling some down or walking over others? Will the ladder be able to support all of their weight, or will jealousy, envy, and betrayal cause everything that they have worked for to all come crashing down around them? When the worlds of these six socialites collide and become intertwined the outcome is scandalous. Will the controversies that they encounter be worth the cost that it takes to FLOSS?

If you pre-order FLOSS I will send you the free eBook upon receipt of your payment and I will send you a print copy as soon as they are available. :)So you are getting two books for the price of one!Pre-Order your Copy TODAY!www.monicamariejones.comwww.myspace.com/flossthenovelmonicamjones@hotmail.com

Who cares if you wrote a book or started a new business that you’re really excited about? Is your enthusiasm going to pay your bills and earn you the kind of status you’ve been working hard to achieve? Is that gung-ho attitude going to allow you to break “even” on the money you’ve already invested in your project? While having a positive attitude is important to pursuing your goals, you’re going to need some help along the way. Let’s be realistic. Your book (business) may do OK by word of mouth and press releases but just think of what could happen with something called “mega publicity.”No, I’m not talking about one radio or newspaper interview in your community. I’m referring to your ability to reach the masses. How do you do that? You could try calling Oprah and if she calls you back–the rest is history. Of course, for the vast majority of us, Harpo will never call but that shouldn’t stop you from putting a plan of action together that could, very well, get Oprah’s attention in the future.Build a media plan complete with a list of mainstream radio and television stations as well as newspapers. Also include internet radio stations and podcasts. Then start mapping out your strategy for making valuable connections. If you believe it’s your time to shine, let me help you turn on the spotlight!

What Makes Me a Media Expert?

Before you decide to give anybody your hard-earned money for media services, you need to do some homework. You need to ask yourself AND the “expert” what makes them qualified to teach you about getting media exposure and the other little tricks of the trade when it comes to publicity. Is it because they send out the most emails boasting about all they can do to help you or have you talked to real people who can give you glowing testimonials about their work?Did they have a real job in media where they were in a decision-making position to determine who would be a good candidate for an interview?Do they have resourceful contacts? By that I mean, do they have actual names of contacts or are they referring you to a general number---which we can all get in a phone book.Do they push clients through a “system” without giving them much individualized attention? Is bigger really better? Can they give you FULL SERVICE or LIP SERVICE?The truth of the matter is, for every qualified expert, there are at least a dozen wannabes. As someone who spent more than 25 years in the radio and television news business, I had to decide daily who would make a good interview candidate. It’s a screening process and if you don’t know the basics of what it takes to get the kind of media exposure you’re seeking, you’ll be spinning your wheels and end up going nowhere. If you feel it’s your time to shine, I’d like to help you turn on the spotlight! But before you decide, make sure you google me: Beverly Mahone & Talk2Bev

Win - Din and Information Abundance

Win - Din and Information AbundanceHello, I know as business owners , we get deluged with information.Information on improving our personal lifestyle.Information on networking and building business relationships.Information on a multitude of way to generate income. And Information on the Information (LOL).Ok, How does one decide what information should be given value.Lets go one step further, after giving it value, how to we decide what information to use first.Lets take the position, information used, should produce an outcome that is beneficial to us.Well, Here is my suggestion (C’mon you know have one).Decide What is Important Now (WIN)Ok, need an example here’s one.You have access to information on how to save money on gasoline cost. You received this information in Ebook form and it seems with the price of gas being very high, it would be nice to know, how to save on gasoline cost. Now you would have to download the ebook and read it.Ok, maybe this is a good move, if you drive a vehicle that consumes gasoline, however, if you a commuter using other means of transportation, this may not be the information, you want to assign value. This does not meet the WIN.Move on. Let me repeat that , MOVE ON ........ See this is simple. Now, the on the other hand. You are the driver for commuters and you are tasked with purchasing gasoline.Having information on how to save money on gasoline purchase could be very beneficial to you. This becomes a WINNow, you are half way to a successful outcome with handling information abundance. The next IMPORTANT step you must take is ( drum roll please) ;DO IT NOW (DIN)That’s right , no delay, no read it later, no wait to someone else educates you.DIN, download the EBook, Read it, Act on the information provided. As you see, WIN requires some real thought and DIN is the easy part, together, they are like nitroglycerin (a liquid that is explosive when exposed to sudden heat).Separate, well, glycerin is just a sweet syrupy alcohol component and nitro refers to a chemistry group.Get it. Got it.Now WIN and DIN your way to a very productive day.Hint, Hint This process can be applied to many situations much more complex than this example. Here is a WIN-DIN moment ( I love this!!!!!!!)THE CELL PHONE REVOLUTION HAS STARTEDINFO AT WWW.JUNIQUES.NETNetworkingly yours,Rickey

Marketing your Business using Autoresponders

bannera.jpg

Before I dive into the subject of my blog post, I would like to thank LaShanda for giving me this opportunity to share my thoughts and information with you as part of the Blogality Show. I learned a lot through my research and truly enjoyed writing the blog posts. I certainly hoped many of you benefited from the information. What are autoresponders? Before I got into business and began researching various low cost and free ways of marketing my business. Autoresponders are email programs that can send an automated response. Presently, there are autoresponders that are more sophisticated that than and are able to send a series of composed messages on a pre-determined schedule. I’m sure many of you have browsed the web and signed up for those e-courses that send you information via e-mail every week on the topic you chose. It’s a easy way for a business owner to keep in touch with his/her clients via email without spending loads of time at the computer. These programs help business owners work smarter. How can one benefit from autoresponders? Let’s say that you own a travel business and you want to give your clients tips for travel. Instead of listing them on your website, which they may or may not visit, send them a tip a week or every two weeks. Every time they get your tips via email they think about travel and will most likely visit your site where you will have more content for them to read. The same thing can work with self-esteem tips, business tips, weight loss tips, etc. There are so many subjects related to your business that you can send to your clients. In addition, if your tips are good, then your clients will forward them to people they know and they will visit your website.Where do I get an autoresponder? There happens to be a free autoresponder available for your use. Check out this website at www.drquek.com. You will have to upload and install the program yourself. However, there are services that may make it a little easier for you, but for a fee. Check out www.getresponse.com and www.icontact.com. Depending on how savvy you are with installing programs, it may be worth the monthly fee to have a simpler interface.I have downloaded Dr. Quek’s program, but have not yet installed it. When I do, I will certainly let you know!

It's not every day that IBN members get the kind of national media attention they deserve, so when it happens, I'm all over it! This past Tuesday, I was all over longtime IBN member Dawn Fitch and her company Pooka Pure and Simple as they were featured on the CBS Evening News.

As you can see, Dawn was interviewed by CBS National Correspondent Byron Pitts about the growth of her company from $20,000 in annual revenues 7 years ago to nearly a half a million dollars in 2007.Long before CBS took note, I knew of the great things Dawn and the other "Pookalitas" were doing. Dawn first joined IBN in 2005 and since then, her business has boomed. Dawn has been my guest on Indie Business Radio where she discussed the growth of her company and the story behind her book, "Moving Through Opened Doors."So Much Business, So Little MoneyWhile Dawn's news is exciting and well deserved, the news for Black American woman entrepreneurs is not as good. According to the segment, while Black American women are launching businesses at twice the speed of the national average, generating about $29 billion in sales nationwide, they are grossing an average of $38,000 a year while their counterparts are grossing an average of about $107,000 a year.As a Black American female entrepreneur, these statistics are sobering and disturbing. They make me even more determined to do my part through IBN and otherwise to make sure that women everywhere have equal access to the time, capital, technology, emotional support and other resources that are necessary to own and manage a profitable business. What do you think? Why do you think it is that Black women are starting so many business yet grossing so little money? What is it that's keeping us from enjoying a fair share of the pie? $38,000 might be a good profit margin, but it's peanuts in terms of gross revenues. What's happening? How can we be launching so many businesses, yet making so little money? To enjoy inspiring Indie Business Stories all the time, subscribe to Indie Business Blog today.

How is your business doing?

Having your own business requires consistent review. Ideas are continuously flowing and ways to improve are being flushed through your mind. Taking it up to the next level is the main goal - not wanting to miss out on being able to provide the services that your competitors are able to deliver. In fact, you want your business to be even better - stand out - completely unique in delivering services that others really need and you can give it to them.Well, I have a list of questions that I often ask myself• How am I doing?• What can I do to improve?• Am I offering my clients an invaluable service?• What about my internal clients? Are they feeling appreciated?• Are my external clients referring me to others?• How effective is my networking?• Am I investing enough time into my business?I can continue on with the questions. However, most important in keeping your business report, be sure to take an honest look at yourself. Your well being - your physical, emotional/mental health are vital in doing business. Your purpose in doing business is not only to be your own boss, be in control but to also enjoy life on your terms. You want to live a prosperous life - well, you also need to live a healthy life. Be sure to take care of the business of your own health.• Stay hydrated (drink water, 100% fruit juices)• Make time to get pampered (spa, massage, body rub/scrub)• Exercise (enjoy a yoga class)• Meditate (quiet time to center yourself)• Make healthy eating choices (salad, fruits, vegetables, vitamins, etc.)• Visit your doctor and follow the standard health screenings• Travel (plan a vacation - go see other places)• Spend quality time with your family• Donate your time, clothes, other items or money to a worthy cause• Go out for a night on the town (concert, dinner, Broadway show, museum)• Make time for a social gathering (group of folks who share common interests, friends)• Play golf, tennis, chess, dominos, basketball, softball, base ball, etc.• Go to a book store pick up that book you've been meaning to read• Relax and begin to read your book - even just a chapter or two - then be sure to make some time to continue reading it again - even if you have to take it to the mandatory room (the place we all have to sit for a while). You are in business with the goal of enjoying life. I know it's hard to step away especially when you are constantly working on something new or something that requires your attention, or just having to put that time in to see the business grow. It will grow but you will be surprised at the growth you can achieve by taking care of yourself. It builds your confidence - you will feel like a billion bucks, and most of all your business will improve.

Beyond What My Eyes Can See!

What is this thing that my Spirit knows? This place during the day that my mind does oft go.This place of abundance that fills my space,And my prayers are for God's favor and, of course, His grace. There are longings and desires that wail deep insideAnd I pray for God's answers and these issues to subside. My husband, my ministry, my purpose, my life; This dream that's truly bigger than I.Yet, I'm cautious to ask the Lord why.Why not now, Lord? Why hasn't he come? And if not why, then when? When will this ministry begin? And then silently I search my own heart,I delve deeply into my most sacred part. This search is for truth and I seek 'til I find.Lord, what is this wait for? Why all this time?Yet, I know that all this will beAbundance in life, a mate and ministry.I know you've a plan that I don't always understand,So by faith I step out, without further doubts,And go beyond what my eyes can seeKnowing in truth all these things wait for me.Copyright ©2008 Debra Poole Declouet
