My "Extra Money" Success Story!

I'm posting my "extra money" success story for the many educated, dedicated and hard working people who have been forced into unemployment by this horrible economy!Okay, so I needed to make extra money, but I wasn't trying to get rich quick, nor was I looking for work outside of my home. I was looking for a real company (licensed, bonded, etc), one that was stable, and one that actually paid on time. In my search, I found several excellent companies to work for, but apparently so did everyone else. I mean, every time I would ask someone if they heard of this product or that product, or this service or that service; they would say, "Yeah haven't you?" So I thought, "okay I missed those opportunities!” I became so frustrated that I just gave up and began looking for a JOB!!!!! I dreaded going back into corporate America, but I had to do what I had to do, right? One evening, an associate called me very excited, telling me that I needed to try this new healthy organic juice. Saying that anyone looking to lose a little weight, look a few years younger, have more energy or just maintain overall health could drink this juice. She shared amazing testimonies she had collected from people who have type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure and for a brief moment, she had me thinking about how my family members could benefit from drinking this juice. I have a family history of cancer, type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure and although I was amazed by the stories she shared; I told her that I was in no position to afford an organic health juice or any juice for that matter! I mean seriously, we were struggling with only one income as it was; how would I explain the purchase of an organic health juice? I could literally hear the argument starting with my husband already LOL! Finally, she persuaded me to taste it. It really tasted great! There was no after taste and after the third sip; I was hooked! I couldn't believe that an organic health juice could taste this good because every other organic juice I had tasted in the past was greenish/brown and tasted awful! NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE, but let's keep it real. Then she told me she gets paid weekly for sharing this juice with other people. I said, “That’s nice, you go girl, but my hands are tied and I have too much on my plate as it is; besides I need a real job and one that pays me every two weeks!” And I wasn't playing either; I really needed to know that when I put in 8 hour days; that a paycheck would be waiting for me every two weeks. Anyway, she convinced me to take a look at the company before making a final decision.I searched the Internet; I called the Secretary of State to be sure they were licensed; I called the Better Business Bureau to see if they had any complaints against them. I called the State Comptroller's office to see if they were in good standings; and I checked out MLM Watchdog.com to see if they were a legitimate network marketing company and not a “fly by night scam” or something. There was nothing bad mentioned about this company ANYWHERE! Finally, I decided to check with a few people I know personally who have built huge work at home businesses to see if they had ever heard of this company. I was shocked to find that none of them had! I couldn't believe that my associate had turned me on to an actual “basement” opportunity! This was not a “ground floor” opportunity, but a true “basement” opportunity because hardly anyone had heard of this company or the organic health juice! This all seemed “too good to be true” so I continued to do more research.I found out why so many people hadn’t heard of this company before. It is because the company had only reached a few states in the U.S., but they broke all kinds of sales records in other Countries like: Hong Kong, China, Japan and Canada. The company was 13yrs old with a less than 2yr old “debt-free” network marketing division. Finally, I called their office to see what kind of customer service department they had and I was floored! A LIVE person answered; she was very professional. She confirmed everything I had uncovered during my research. She told me that the organic health juice was less than 45 days old at the time. Then she told me that they offered weekly online (webinar) trainings and conference call (over the phone) trainings in the evening. This was perfect for me because I still wanted to find a full-time job. After a series of questions, I decided to join their team as an Executive Level Business Owner and they assigned me to “a personal coach”. I was promised that I would always get a live person when calling their office and only on very rare occasions would I ever get a voicemail. In which case, someone would call me back within an hour! This was HUGE for me because I hate voicemails and automated systems! (Grrrrrrrrrrr)The company sent me a Business Success Kit that contained a training manual so I could follow along with the weekly trainings. There were samples of marketing materials/business tools which allowed me to market the juice professionally. They gave me my own replicated website with “a back office” that allows me to access corporate marketing material that I can actually print right at home. It keeps a record of my sales, my weekly pay and my referrals! The back office even gives me an accounting record and payroll history.I joined their team in July of this year; working only part-time from home. So far, I've earned over $3,000 in retail sales and weekly commissions. I know this doesn't sound like a lot to some, but when you do the math, it’s an extra $750 per month! I work part-time and not at a fast food place; not at a clothing or department store, not in another office, and not cleaning someone else’s toilet. Although there’s nothing wrong with working these kinds of jobs; I’d much rather work any extra hours at home, so I can still spend time with my family. As far as I’m concerned, an extra $750 per month could mean paying off a bill or two; it could also mean getting that new car because now the note and insurance can get paid; but for some people, an extra $750 per month could mean not missing a meal or having to ration what little you do have until next payday. Listen, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t need extra $ in this economy. Do you? Anyway, thought I'd share my “extra money” success story with anyone interested in earning some extra $ in this economy. Besides, what can an extra $750 or more per month do for your household? Here is the website www.MaquiBerryBuilt.com Do the research for yourself. Oh and while you’re at it, pick up a copy of the Network Marketing Business Journal at any major bookstore or on any major newsstand. This company has been named “Company of the Month” for the month of November 2009!

Why do we cheat???

Okay all, this is a topic that can be discussed daily. Men and women all across this nation have asked this Question.*Why do we cheat?Women seem to want to modify this question to read.1) Why do men cheat? Why we are gathering our thoughts about this question here are some statistics takened from WebMd.com48% of men rated emotional dissatisfaction as the primary reason they cheated. So much for the myth that for men, cheating is all about sex:Only 8 percent of men said that sexual dissatisfaction was the main factor in their infidelity."Our culture tells us that all men need to be happy is sex," Neuman says. "But men are emotionally driven beings too. They want their wives to show them that they're appreciated, and they want women to understand how hard they're trying to get things right." The problem is that men are less likely than women to express these feelings, so you won't always know when your guy is in need of a little affirmation. "Most men consider it unmanly to ask for a pat on the back, which is why their emotional needs are often overlooked," Neuman says. "But you can create a marital culture of appreciation and thoughtfulness — and once you set the tone, he's likely to match it."66% of cheating men report feeling guilt during the affair. The implications are a little scary: It isn't just uncaring jerks who cheat. In fact,68 percent of cheaters never dreamed they'd be unfaithful, and almost all of them wished they hadn't done it, Neuman says. Clearly, guilt isn't enough to stop a man from cheating. "Men are good at compartmentalizing feelings," Neuman explains. "They can hold on to their emotions and deal with them later." So even if your husband swears he would never cheat, don't assume it can't happen. It's important for both of you to take steps toward creating the marriage you want.2) Why do women cheat? Why we are gathering our thoughts about this question here are some statistics takened from Cheating-Lover-Affairs.comWhy do women cheat? The simple answer is because they hurt. They have pain related to loneliness, the rejection and betrayal of a cheating spouse, an unexciting and unsatisfactory relationship, or feeling poorly about themselves. Why do women cheat? Because of emotional needs not met and the hurt that accompanies this lack. Is it sometimes just physical lust? Occasionally, but I do not see much of this.Loneliness is one of the primary reasons that women seek out affairs or are susceptible to advances. Women who are in an unsatisfactory relationship may feel even lonelier than if they were still single. A partner who is over involved with his work or hobby may severely limit the attention and admiration he gives to his mate. She then feels unattractive, uncared for, and hopeless about getting her needs met. While this is a reason for working harder on the relationship, not seeking relief from another man, it is easy to understand the pain that makes the whole thing possible. And then there is Revenge. I am seeing much more of this as a motive in recent years. Today's woman is not willing to just sit still and "take it." Unfortunately, the "eye for an eye" approach has become more acceptable and a woman who feels betrayed and rejected may well return the favor.Sometimes a woman needs only to hold a suspicion that her partner is cheating to be susceptible. She may have painful memories from other, earlier relationships in her life, and she may have an expectation of being hurt in this one, as well. This is where a "self fulfilling prophecy" can take over and create pain for everyone. One reason for a woman's affair is similar to one for men: boredom. An unsatisfying, dull, and predictable relationship that is not growing in depth can make the excitement of a new relationship very attractive. The affair is not only exciting due to the new person involved, but also to the whole experience of sneaking around and hiding it. This can be a huge adrenaline rush. It's not saying it too strongly to say that it can even be mildly addictive. Women who have multiple affairs may be experiencing this kind of stimulus.Underlying all these reasons for cheating is a poor sense of self-esteem. We all need an adequate amount of affection and admiration from our partners. One way or another this attention falters at times and the person can become insecure and start looking for the attention is other places.Women can especially have this problem since our culture puts so much emphasis on physical beauty, sex appeal, and the ability to attract men. The truly secure woman knows that her value rests not in these attributes but in her depth of character, her spiritual self, and in her self-reliance.Unfortunately, there is very little in our culture to encourage this self awareness and many women unconsciously find their worth in the attention they receive from the men in their lives. And, when it is not coming from their partner they are susceptible to receiving it from other men.Few would say that any of these reasons for cheating are justifiable. Whether it is boredom, self-esteem, revenge, or the pain that relationships often bring, the answer is to go to work on the relationship, not to have an affair. We can understand the motivations for affairs, but we still know that they are harmful and someone usually gets hurt badly. So what are your comments please be open and honest.

Unforgiveness in Marriage

Unforgiveness will kill a marriage instantly. We have learned all our lives that we are to forgive others. Practicing unforgiveness will get us nowhere in life. If we don't forgive others of their sins against us, we should not expect God to forgive us.“Should forgiveness be unconditional?”People often have the impression that the Bible requires forgiveness to be unconditional. But the Bible doesn’t say that. It tells us that we should “Forgive as the Lord forgave you” (Colossians 3:13). While God’s forgiveness is undeserved, it certainly isn’t unconditional. The Lord’s forgiveness is offered only to those who confess their sin and repent (2 Chronicles 7:14; Leviticus 26; Luke 13:3; 1 John 1:8-10).On the surface, it might seem noble to forgive unconditionally. But unconditional forgiveness is usually motivated more by fear than by love. And because of this it’s usually destructive. If a wife continues to forgive a habitually unfaithful and abusive husband unconditionally, her toleration of his behavior will probably result in even more abuse and disrespect. This kind of “unconditional” forgiveness expresses a determination to cling to the status quo. No matter how bad things are, this woman fears that things will probably get worse if she holds her husband accountable. Her passive acceptance of his behavior will probably encourage him to continue in his sin. Instead of her forgiveness being a helpful act of love, it is actually a violation of love that will hinder his growth toward Christlikeness.Article by Gospel.comPat says:I was in a marriage where there was physical, mental, verbal abuse. What does the bible say about divorcing in this case?Tricia W. says:I have been searching the bible on that same issue, but it only speaks of divorce because of adultery. it is spoken about in matthew, john, 1 corinthians just to name a few. the issue is, God never intended for divorce. it was not His will, but He honored Moses’ law on it (for what is bound on earth will be bound in heaven Matthew 18:18) because of the callousness of our hearts.Pray on it and seek the Lord’s counsel. And do whatever He says. God does not delight in seeing His children in pain or broken or hurt. He sees all and knows all. He is just and merciful, so trust in Him that He has the answer and that He will bring healing. Then be patient and wait on Him. A good scripture to read… Psalm 92Jackie says:I too was in a horrible marriage that was filled with abuse and also adultery. I divorced and has since been remarried to a wonderful man who respects and takes very good care of me and my children. Although the Bible only offers adultery as an out and for remarriage, it also commands the husband to love his wife as Christ loved the church and this is not happening in your situation. You need to get out. You’ll have to seek your heart about divorce and remarriage if that becomes an option. I only know that now I can worship the Lord with gladness and without fear. I’ll be praying for you as you seek guideance.

Free cash for your businessSmall business grants are rare, but they do exist. Here's how to find them.By Eilene Zimmerman, CNNMoney.com contributing writerLast Updated: November 1, 2009: 12:30 PM ET(CNNMoney.com) -- When hunting for cash, desperate small business owners may find themselves sucked into buying books and software packages promising "Billions in Free Grants!" from Web sites with names like NeverPayItBack.com, or hiring consultants who promise to find them gads of money. All they're likely to get, though, are empty promises.Grants are rare, but the information you need to find and apply for legitimate ones is publicly available and free. For qualifying businesses, there really are opportunities to land free money from state, county and city governments, as well as private foundations and corporations.Technology startups traditionally have the best chance of getting grant funding, often through the federal government's Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs. These programs are lucrative, awarding more than $2 billion each year, but both require a tight match with exacting requirements. For most companies, a better fit will be the grants many state and city governments offer for small, tech-focused businesses. In Columbus, Ohio, TechColumbus offers TechGenesis grants of up to $50,000 to allow entrepreneurs to test their ideas and see if they are business-worthy. The Ben Franklin Partnership in Philadelphia and the Maine Technology Institute in Gardiner, Maine, are two more of the dozens of organizations that invest in local tech companies with growth potential.Finding grant money for non-tech businesses is a little tougher. The first step: Figure out if you qualify for any special small business certifications, such as a minority-owned, disadvantaged, woman-owned or veteran-owned business. Federal and state governments sometimes give priority for grants to these types of business owners. Then look at your local government Web sites -- for your city, county and state -- and find the economic development agency or area equivalent. Many of these agencies offer government-sponsored grants to attract new businesses or help existing firms expand, train workers, or become more environmentally friendly. For instance, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity offers matching grants to businesses that want to expand and modernize their recycling programs, while the Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council gives workforce training grants to businesses in several Oregon counties.Next, sign up at Grants.gov to receive information about specific kinds of federal grants. Few businesses will directly qualify, but with some creativity, you can find ways to tap the cash flow, says Kate Lister, author of Finding Money --The Small Business Guide to Financing."Let's say you own a small plumbing company," Lister says, "and at the federal level there is a grant for capital improvements for which only schools can apply. Sign up to be notified of anything that happens with that grant and post your own note to it that says, 'I'd like to be a subcontractor on this.' Or go to the contracting officer listed and say, 'Here's what I can offer.' Since that contracting officer is the person who will notify the winner of their grant award, he can also say to the school: 'Hey, I've got a contractor you might want to try.' And even if this isn't the right grant for you, there might be something else down the line, so connecting with these contracting officers is really all about networking."Another avenue for grant money is workforce training. Most states have grants, often funded through the unemployment insurance tax system, says Michael Godley, principal at Workforce Development, a consultancy in Boston that focuses on helping business owners tap into workforce training funds nationwide. A good way to find these grants is by simply Googling "workforce training funds" within your state, or contacting local community colleges -- they often administer the funds -- or a workforce investment board. The legislature in Massachusetts, for example, just funded its workforce training fund at $10 million. That's down from the previous year, when it got $21 million. But as Godley points out: "Ten million is still a lot of money. And that will go to a few hundred companies."Small manufacturers can find grants for upgrading facilities or updating processes by looking at their state's Manufacturing Extension Partnerships. Nearly every state has one, says Bob Kill, president of Enterprise Minnesota, which provides Minnesota-based manufacturing companies with matching grants for process improvement or staff development. In New York, Empire State Development offers capital grants of up to $1 million to manufacturers with as few as 50 employees, through its manufacturing assistance program.A good source for foundation grants is the Foundation Center, which offers basic information on U.S.-based foundations, grant-making public charities and corporate giving programs. Most of these sorts of grants go to non-profits, but one way small businesses can broaden their suitability for grants is to create a not-for-profit offshoot to their business. The not-for-profit side usually offers different or less comprehensive products and services than the for-profit, says Dave Lavinsky, president of Growthink in New York City, a consultancy that assists startups in developing business plans and raising capital. A for-profit children's theatre company, for example, could have a non-profit arm teaching after-school drama programs. No matter what grant you apply for, remember that the cash is usually earmarked for funding specific projects or products -- not entire companies. If you want free money, be prepared to adapt. "A lot of times business owners will modify their business based on funding opportunities," Lavinsky notes.
