First let me say I have been a member of BBWO for awhile now. Though I
don't write that often, I read every chance I get. Not only LaShanda,
but also all you wonderful women entrepreneurs give me lots of great
business information and education.

I signed up to receive email from BBWO / SistaSense when LaShanda did
her 100 tips video series (fabulous). This meant I was getting an email
from LaShanda about once per day. Now I don't know about you but I guard
my inbox like a hawk. Whatever comes there must be quality and timely
and necessary. Needless to say LaShanda went way beyond my expectations!
Now that the 100 tips has finished (boy that was quick) I still get my
daily email from LaShanda.

HERE'S MY POINT:

*I archived every email for later reference

*I subscribed to her You Tube Channel

*I added her email to my morning email reading routine

*I check BBWO more often now because I follow the links in the emails

*I look forward to the information in the emails she sends because they
really do keep me informed with what's going on here (lots of great
things) at BBWO.

*I made time to write this discussion

HERE'S WHAT I LEARNED FROM HER:

It all adds up. All the little things you do over time to effectively
communicate with your target audience / customer, it all adds up like
drops in a bucket. Until one day your customer lets their guard down and
lets you into their inner circle of trusted advisers. Not because they
know you personally but because you have consistently given them what
they asked for and effectively anticipated their needs.

When I signed up for BBWO LaShanda promised to educate me on internet
marketing. She has done that and continues to over deliver. That makes
me put her mentally in the top spot as my go to person on this subject.
When she writes, the message I receive is 'education first'. It's never
'buy this first so I can educate you'.

I took all that positive action after her 100 tips email series because previously she had become trustworthy and she reinforced that by providing me with always good content.

These are lessons I am applying both online and offline to my business even as we speak.

Internet marketing is not easy; but it is easier if you are genuine in wanting to help people through the delivery of your products and
services. If she did not believe in what she was doing I would not
believe in her. I don't allow any info gurus to send me emails everyday
....... except LaShanda. She must be doing something right.

  • That is so true; I'm learning more and more.  I love sharing with my readers and fans about great baby shower , baby interaction and other things.  I have not been promoting my products as much as I did last year because I want them to get to know me and give them some valuable information.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Bravo Tanai! It's always such an honor to see one of your clients/mentees take the time to offer such a wonderful testimony to the benefits and rewards realized through our works.

Lashaunda has given us a place as Black women and I'll say women of color to celebrate one another. Her tenacity and ability to endure has given us a confidence in the fact that there are professional women who may also be moms, wives or not that are people of excellence and authenticity. When I first joined BBWO I watched from a distance. As I viewed Lashaunda's content I stepped up to purchasing some of her guides and other offerings. I soon watched as she suggested that individuals use this community as a way to connect and expose themselves to the members of this community.

I've watched her grow and love what I see. It's easy to suggest BBWO to others as I believe in her ethics and philosophy for life and business.

She is the epitome of the principle of giving.

LaShaunda thanks for for being authentically you!

    • Thank you Robin... as you can see it's not easy, but it works! I only hope I can step things up even more and affect more positive change among the women in our growing community. Again, thank you for being apart of us. -lh
  • LaShanda is a amazing entrepreneur, As a male follower I have learn more here that any other site that I visit. I will agree that she is very informative to all on BBWO. BEST value for Black entrepreneurs.
  • Oh wow... I usually have a mouthful of things to say, but I am truly speechless. While I know this lesson was more so for others than for myself, I have to say thank you for finding value in what I do and being part of the mission. I'm proud to have been able to share what I've learned with you and hope to continue to do so. More importantly, I'm touched that with one little spark I've been able to motivate you to share your own information and experiences to help others as you actualize your own vision online.

Just as you say, Be Real and you will Get Real Followers

I believe it, I see it, and I highly recommend it! To your continued success - lh
    • You are great at what you do and your writing and passion really does help me on a daily basis. I have been quietly gleaning wisdom from BBWO for a long time now and I felt it was necessary to share one of the many lessons I have learned here. Keep doing what you do!
      • Thank you for posting this I have to finish setting up my affifilate program, but La Shandra is the only mktg, info person I am doing this with for the reasons you have detailed. She is the only person I have actually seen make money AND give you beneficial info.

I'm in Scottsdale AZ and EVERYONE here is a coach, in real estate or selling jewelry. They're producing hot air and much of nothing else. :)

So it was good to see in writing all that she has provided and you have done an excellent summary.
