Money and Finance expert Deborah Owens (deborahowens.com) shares how Women can build their wealth in this PBS Special (click here if you can't see the video above).
Most of the time on SistaSense I talk about how to make money BUT truth be told IF you can't manage your money you won't see much of what you make. I discovered Deborah when she joined Black Business Women Online about a month ago. Shortly after joining the network Deborah took part in my SistaSense Circle, a telecourse group for serious entrepreneurs interested in building successful online businesses.
As you can tell from the video above, Deborah Owens is already a published author, finance expert, established business women and successful coach, so why would she join my circle? Believe it or not, any good coach will tell you that you never stop learning. Deborah can teach me a thing or two about finances and money management, because that is her area of expertise. Building social networks and establishing a strong online presence is my strength and through the SistaSense Circle I've been able to provide her and other sistas in the circle with new ways to further expand their presence online. I'll never forget our 1st call together when Deborah said to me she knew she needed a strong online presence and needed to be on social networks BUT it was not until we spoke that she truly understood why these things were important and how they really worked. Building your brand and your business online requires more than simply having a pretty website, which is something many business women discover after they've built their digital spaces.
If nothing else, today I wanted to tell you there is always room to learn new things EVEN when like Deborah, you've made it to the top! Moreover, as women entrepreneurs we can all benefit from supporting one another. While I can fix your website, I'll let Deborah show you how to fix your budget!
