I subscribed to your channel as soon as I read this post. I love the power of forums and of course you know I love your videos. I think your videos are actually one of the most popular ones on our BBWO Video page. I have been taking advantage of video marketing more these last few months and I do see an increase in traffic to my sites, how is it working for you? -lh

Thank you so much, LaShanda, for the compliments and subscribing! The first one was a major hit for me. Mainly because so many people encouraged me to do a tutorial on how my products work. I decided not to speak or us any music. I wanted to focus on the product and myself and how easy the product was to use. It also allowed people to see my personality because with any business even if the product sells itself, you still have to sell yourself. I

I did the video in one take. If I would have talked I probably would have confused people even more and would have had to stop and redo it because I do not even know how to edit. I truly don't care to learn.

I have had several sells after doing the videos and they are the extra that gets those who really aren't sure about it.

I did a video featuring my hair along with products that I bought from Etsy (handmade market place). One of my clients bought from one of the ladies I featured. There is no traffic tracking, but there is a 'how many looks' a product gets and she had quite a few during that time.

From those video features - I received a free pair of earrings. The other lady is from Canada and offered me free s/h on a future order. The item I bought cost nearly $10 to ship.

Gosh, even when I'm promoting other people's products I receive goodies. I bought an item and got one free. I was in a forum and raved about another lady's products and she sent me the one I was crazy as a gift.

That's another topic. To keep with the videos, I'm so glad that people kept bugging me to do them. Now it's my turn to encourage others to them too. You don't have to hire Hype Williams or John Singleton nor do you need a Hollywood set. I have a Kodak EasyShare C743. I bought for a little over $100 two years ago. I propped it up on a hat box and sat on a stool in front of the mirror in my bathroom.

The one thing I like about the videos is that you can carry them just about anywhere online and post them for direct view. I posted them on my blog and should put them on Facebook. There are a lot of ning.com groups and forums that will let up post videos and I take full advantage of the opportunity.

If pictures say a thousand words, just imagine what a video can do.

LaShanda, do you have a guide for editing? Also, I had the hardest time getting my videos on YouTube. I think I had to download a few flash/adobe programs. Maybe a how-to would take some of the scare off the videos. I had no problem getting in front of the camera, it was just figuring out everything that slowed my debut.

Thanks to you I have added a branded YouTube Channel. We had a lot of videos but they were unorganized and thanks to the SistaSense Circle we decided to take it up a notch..
