  • Hello!

I use Blogger and recommend it because it is owned by Goggle so your content will be picked up in that search engine quicker.  I have blog posts from 2008 and 2009 that are still getting attention in Google searches...

    Best wishes!

  • Hey Lorillia,

I find that each blog platform seem to capture a different vision. I am very familiar with blogger and I enjoy it because its so easy to share links from other sites to your blogger site. Wordpress is for the wordy,  it has ALOT of incredible features which make the site seem professional. Not sure if you have ever heard of tumblr but that site is good for showing images. So it all depends on your taste and what you intend on using it for. Hope that helps!

    • Thanks again for replying, and appreciate all the feedback.  Looks like i'm going with wordpress.org i'm still going to use the godaddy hosting.  but the wordpress platform will be used for my website and blog.  i was totally unaware that wordpress does it all website, blog etc.  i just thought it was for blogs which really influence my decision.  so as of tonight i switch my hosting plan with godaddy.  and i'm ready to go,  i'll see how it goes.
  • Personally, I use blogger. I recently took a blogging class from a professional blogger at my college, and we used blogger for class. Really any of the blogging servers are fine, though.
  • I would go with a self-hosted wordpress platform. They have the best premium templates (Thesis, Headway, Genesis) that give you great flexibility and scalability. The best hosting that I've used is GoDaddy - they have a very clean, quick installation for wordpress through their hosting management center.

Good luck - I'd love to see it when you are done.

    Stay Brilliant!

    • Hi Tai, thanks for responding. Are u using wordpress.org or com. I found out with godaddy that the installation is suppose to be easy. I downloaded the pdf, so ill see with conversion.

      Thanks
  • In my opinion wordpress has the best templates and plugins. Everything is a lot simpler with wordpress.
  • I would say wordpress.org. The amount of freedom you have in how your webpage looks is endless. Plus a lot of people develop for wordpress so you can get great additions to your site without having to hire someone in particular.
