  • This is some great information. I would also add, that you must blog about content that is relevant to your target market. because just blogging without a purpose and meaning is very useless! thanks for asking the question Melissa!

  • Twitter is an amazing tool. As long as you can get enough followers it works. Also finidng cheap advertising on websites like mine. I offer a $10.00 advertising bundle for the first 3 months. Also commenting on relevant blogs with your link works as long as your comments are relevant and meaningful.
    • Thanks for the advertising offer. I might just do that soon.
  • Thanks for the respond to the question. This is so true about summing up your business. If you don't know about your business then you are losing customer.
  • If you haven't done so already, I would start by thoroughly researching your target market. Where can you find members of your target? Are they online in certain social networks? Are they searching for your products and services via the search engines? What offline events do they attend? Once you know this information, decide on what marketing techniques you are going to use to reach them and create and execute a marketing plan.
  • You start telling the world that you are in business by creating your elevator speech. If I were to ask you right now, what do you do; how would you sum that up? You need to be able to tell me in very little words without the hums, and you know –what you do.

    For example below is mine.

    My Elevator Speech:

“I help small business owners find more time to build their business and better their relationship with their customers by removing them from behind their desk. I do that by creating, scheduling, planning and executing their day to day tasks for them. Basically, I am their personal assistant virtually; allowing them more flexibility and time to succeed.”

    Quick Tag Line:
“Helping small business owners find the time that they need to build and market their business.”

Remember to keep it straight to the point and easy to understand.
