About Me:

THE HISTORY I began in radio in 1997 as an intern for WDIA. Under the tutelage of the legendary Davis Brothers, James and Jaye Michael, I blossomed as a producer, a voice-over artist and an on-air personality. In 1999 I traveled to Dallas, TX to do an internship with the award-winning nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show. My efforts and creativity landed me a position as a contributing writer for the show. After returning to Memphis, in 2000 I was offered a position as weekend on-air personality and producer/co-host of K97's talk show for youth "On Point." The youngest female on staff and the fact that I had a "baby" voice led to me appropriately being dubbed "K97's Baby Girl." My co-hosts and I, Jeff Lee or the World Famous Kylan, served our own brand of advice, information and fun on Sunday mornings for over three years. Then, I stepped down to pursue other aspirations in radio that included community affairs and promotions. However, in March 2006 I left Clear Channel as a full-time employee to pursue a career in the wonderful world of marketing. PRESENT I am currently the Owner/Head Writer for Put It In Writing Professional Writing Service. I specialize in bios, press releases, web site and brochure content, TV/radio copy, etc. My clients include Echoing Soundz Public Relations in Los Angeles, Ewing Moving Service, TRUST Marketing, Inc., Universal Productions, Spotlight Productions, The Tom Joyner Morning Show and many more. I love using my talent to give others the credit they so graciously deserve. I have had the pleasure of writing bios and/or press releases for Buffie the Body, Shemar Moore, Ceelo, (DJ)Quick, Hazel Eyes Models, Mistah F.A.B., Red Grant and Brain Hooks. I also write articles. I have been featured in Grace Magazine, Divine Magazine, Proud Magazine, Street Masters Magazine, Memphis Health and Fitness, The Tri-State Defender and several other local publications. If you need a writer...hit me up. Serious inquiries only. You can also learn more about my company on the Put It in Writing MySpace Page www.myspace.com.putitinwriting2 CREATOR OF I'M A GOOD WOMAN NOVELTY PRODUCTS Good women are everywhere and sometimes they don't receive enough credit. Tips on Using Random Word Blends for Choosing the Right Business Name

2957768622?profile=originalAdd a little research to your process. Venture into words from other languages and try some random blends. Generate intrigue and curiosity. If interesting enough, some will wonder and others will even ask, “Where did you get your name from or what’s the inspiration behind your name?” Be sure to choose a name with substance; a name that when translated in your native language, sounds magnificent, has valued meaning, or essence. For example, Savvy Writer in Spanish is Savvy Escritor, in Turkish is Anlayışlı Writer, in Latin is Writer Xenium and these are just to name a few for ideas. Google Translator (translate.google.com) is a great tool for testing random words in other languages.

  • My name is Anik Brown and I am the organizer of a new meet up group in Dallas, TX called The DFW SistaPrenuers Business Network.  I took a look at your profile and I think you would make a fantastic SistaPrenuer.  Our group is about edifying entrepreneurial minded woman in the DFW area.  Sharing ideas and knowledge to help each other grow our businesses and balance being mothers and wives with being driven career woman.  Our first meet up is scheduled for March 2011 and I plan to aggressively grow the group between now and then.

We are brand new and still in the process of adding content.

Feel free to take a look at the site http://www.meetup.com/The-DFW-SistaPrenuers-Network/

I look forward to meeting you at the next Meetup.

  • "It’s Crunch Time!”, This is a new children’s book by Marie Brewer (www.helenbrewer.com for the link to book) This is my book of muscle for boys (ages 9-12) to point them in the direction of HOPE!...This is an interactive book where they can write about their feelings. It discusses acceptable behavior, honesty, good self-image, respect for females and animals, appreciation for teachers/school, choosing good friends. The book also talks about resisting gangs, guns, drugs, violence, alcohol and bad influences. Let's attack the behavior, not the boy. "It's Crunch Time!" , by Marie Brewer, www.bbotw.com. • Hi Jae,

my magazine From A Writers POV is looking for sponsers. We are looking for other business owners to partner with us in helping each other boost their sales and to help each other with marketing and advertising.

From A Writers POV is an online magazine for writers. We are mostly non-profit with small advertising fees. We are not looking to charge you or your business to advertise with our magazine, we simply want to "Swap" info and banners to help each other out.

I am putting together a spot throughout our magazine for sponsors. These spots will be permanent advertisement banners or badges letting our readers know that your business sponsers us. We would like the same thing in return. If you have a website and ning network, that would be great! We simply ask that you would place our banner on your website or ning network to let your customers know, we sponsor you. It's a fair trade.

I would also like to email you info about our business and what it provides. I would ask that you do the same and email me your info.

If this is something you would be interested in doing, please let me know. You can contact me directly at publisher.ceo.povmagazine@gmail.com

I look forward to hearing from you!

    Thanks, Dominique

  • Hi

From A Writers POV is now accepting guest article writers to submit articles with info about writing, publication, editing etc. We are looking for articles that will help and inform our readers about the writing and publication field. We are currently only looking for about three to four articles for the months of July, August, September and October. After that we will not accept submissions again until August.

We will not accept articles on any other topic and we will not accept articles that are advertising your business.

Helpful links and websites are accepted but if you have a service that you are trying to advertise, we will not accept your article.

*Your article will stay on our website for one month and will be featured on our homepage. You will also receive a free short interview to go on our blog "The POV Lounge"

*We will request that you email your full article to us, if it's approved. We do not edit your article. It will go on the website as is so make sure you have edited your writing.

To sign up click here! http://fromawriterspov.webs.com/guestarticleform.htm
