Are you ready for 2012?
I wanted to take a minute and share a few recommendations - things that entrepreneurs should consider doing for 2012 AND I invite you to leave a comment below and share your 2012 todos too!
#1. I just posted this video (the best business to have in 2012) and one of the things I recommend you do is create a virtual vision for 2012. Make a list of those things you want to accomplish and keep that list close through out the year so you can meet your goals. This year I had several goals including launching the SistaSense in Print Magazine, hosting my 1st local business mixers, and producing a new series of 2011 e-guides on how to create ebooks, sell information online, get into social media, create videos for your business and more. When I am not working on my own goals I am helping other women stick to their virtual visions and get more things done, so start with your list and check it all the time!
#2. Take a good look at your website and ask yourself one question, "Did my website bring in steady sales for me this year and was it better than last year?" If you are not seeing growth in your business, now is the time to fix it and stop putting it at the bottom of your todolist. Facebook is fun and videos are flashy BUT if you are spending your time trying to send more traffic to a website that does NOT work you can expect the same poor results come the new year. If you are not plugging those wholes I suggest you really take a good look at your website or work with someone who can give you solid insight into how web businesses work. (That's what I have been doing for the ladies inside the SistaSense Circle all year).
#3. Give yourself a Raise! A few months back I raised my hourly rate as a web designer / service professional. Yesterday during a consultation call I showed a client how raising the prices on her clothing line in subtle increments can help to bring new money into her business without new traffic or new product ideas! Every year life get's more expensive, why are you charging the same rates you did 2, 3, or even 5 years ago? Raising your rates can be scary and it can also be tricky, which is why I've developed a few tricks to getting the job done without scaring existing OR potential clients away. (We can talk about that among other things if you want.) Just schedule a call with me.
