3 Ways to Make Your Business Better

Hey BBWO! I've been busy this week, so I haven't posted or sent our messages like I usually do. Truth be told, I've been working with my *hubby* (my silent business partner) on new ways to make my existing online business ventures better. Whether business is bad or good it can ALWAYS be better ... am I right? Anyhoo, we came up with a few solutions that just make sense to me, so I'd like to share them with you.

1. Stop Beating a Dead Horse to death! If that strategy isn't working, don't use it... as the saying goes... you can't do the same thing and expect different results ... so think about some old habits that need to be thrown away... asap.

2. Sometimes the best solution is to walk away and take a break. Writers Block .. business block... it's all the same thing. If you can't seem to figure this stuff out and your business starts to drive you crazy ... take a break from it ... I know that's hard for me to do, but believe me it works. A few days break and/or focusing on something else truly does bring clarity.

3. Focus on the thing that's bringing in the most money. Yes... it would be great if you could do all THOSE business ventures and it would be great if you could just focus on the one you love the MOST BUT you have to put your energy into the one that actually generates the most amount of income... the time your taking to get that other stuff of the ground .. well you could spend it doubling your existing income. Truth be told... I've turned blind eye to a few smaller projects in an effort to increase my affiliate sales and to my surprise I brought in more money than I expected.. just with a few tweaks and a little more focus.

Can you share at least one way you are trying to make your business better? All comments are welcome! -LaShanda

  • I'm focusing on guerilla marketing tactics. There are tons of no cost ways to get the word out about your business. I'm transferring over my community organizer skills to business. I just bought a book with 100 tactics listed. So I'm hoping that will help the reach I have with my business. More reach, more leads, more sales, more money..lol

This weekend I implemented the coupon tactic, I went to a baby shower and gave everyone a 15% off Gift Certificate.

I waiting for my book to come in. I have have other no cost tactics in my pocket from when I was a community organizer. I constantly collect names, #'s and emails at my educational displays. Then, I going to release a newsletter. I'm currently trying to decide on my target market.
  • LaShanda,
Today I re-evaluated my business. I wrote down what's working and what's not. I made a list of realistic goals that are attainable in "baby steps" and can be completed in a short amount of time. I feel refreshed as I a have regrouped. Thank you for the confirmation.

    • That's great. I think we all have to sit down every now and again and rewrite our goals list. Failing to plan means planning to fail and I for one believe that failure is NOT an option.
