Blessings All,
I am just getting back from my vacation trip to Atlanta. The book reading at TaxConcepts, LLC (http://www.taxconcepts.net/) on Sweet Auburn Avenue in Hotatlanta was successful. I will share more details in August. My participation in the first Blogging While Brown (http://www.bloggingwhilebrown.com/) conference was phenomenal. Look for photos and reflections in August.
I have been on an Internet fast for a whole week. That is huge for me. I started to have withdrawal symptoms on Friday, but my sistalove and attorney Lauren would not allow me to go web crazy. She kept me in check. That's why she is one of my dearest friends and legal counsel.
I returned to the Internet on Sunday. This morning I visited one of my favorite sites - http://www.theroot.com/ and discovered that my novel Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One (http://www.lovestroubadours.com/) was featured in Amy Alexanders' article "Om, Sweet Om." Alexander's article discusses how African Americans use yoga to release their stress. Click here to read the article: http://www.theroot.com/id/47356. Alexander is the Alfred A. Knobler Fellow at The Nation Institute. She is currently writing a book about race and media.
FYI - The Root (http://www.theroot.com/) is one of my favorite online magazines. It features news from a wide array of black perspectives. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. serves as the Editor-In-Chief Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive publishes The Root.
Enjoy your day and week!
Many blessings,
Ananda
