The BBWO forum has been inundated with spam. Subject lines such as "Become an Ameriplan Consultant", Make a Million Dollars", and "Let Me Give You a Virtual Makeover" would be rightfully labelled as spam if received in our email inbox.
Almost none of these posts have generated any discusssion or feedback since they are simply ads. Look at the number of headlines with "0" feedback.
A forum is a gathering place and point of discussion. It is also a place to ask questions and solicit feedback about topics which are likely to generate a discussion.
The BBWO forum itself has become unwieldly. It would be useful to have the forum broken down into it's component parts. A separate forum for those members who want to introduce themselves and their business, another forum for members who need advice, yet a third forum for social and political issues, etc.
I have been operating a successful business for over 10 years. I earn $130,000 per month. In 2007 our company revenues were 206 million dollars. I am extremely busy. I don't have time to sort through forum ads which promise me "up to $2,000 per month" if I join their business as a consultant. Would it be possible for the group owner to consider creating separate forums for specific topics. Otherwise you risk losing the very, very few members here who actually own and operate full-time, profitable businesses.
