October 8, 2008 - Washington, DC - Tune into the third episode of Go Green Sangha Radio, a monthly Talkshoe.com radio program, on October 12, 2008, from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm (EST). The theme is "The Power of the Healing Arts in Cancer." It will honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A guest panel featuring the following team of amazing artists-in-residence from Smith Farm Center for Healing and the Arts (www.smithfarm.com) will share their expertise:
-Letitia Brooks, a visual artist who works at Howard University Hospital
-Nazeeha Howard, a music therapist who works at Holy Cross Hospital, Howard University Hospital, and Washington Hospitial Center's Cancer Institute
-Vera Oye Yaa-Anna, an African storyteller, dancer, and yoga teacher who works at Holy Cross Hospital and Washington Hospital Center's Cancer Institute
-John Paradiso, a visual artist who works at Washington Hospital Center's Cancer Institute
-Laura Sperling, a flutist and certified music practitioner who works at Holy Cross Hospital and Washington Hospital Center's Cancer Institute

Leeke's Go Green acronym is an excerpt from her book, That Which Awakens Me - Part One: A Woman's Poetic Memoir of Self-Discovery (iUniverse, Inc. -Winter 2009). Her debut novel, Love's Troubadours - Karma: Book One (www.lovestroubadours.com) was published by iUniverse, Inc. in August 2007. She is also a yoga teacher, Reiki Master practitioner, artist, creativity coach, and entrepreneur. Currently, she works as an artist-in-residence for Smith Farm Center for Healing and the Arts at Howard University Hospital. Leeke is a graduate of Morgan State University, Howard University School of Law, and Georgetown University Law Center. She lives in Washington, DC.
