Blissful Elegance Events cordially invites you to participate as a gift bag sponsor for our 3rd Annual Diva for a Day Event, scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd 2008 in New York at the Sage Theater.
We would like to extend to you the opportunity to reach this brand-loyal audience of consumers with a donation of product samples and coupons for our attendee gift bags. The bags will be distributed to approximately 75 - 125 women during Diva for a Day.
Blissful Elegance is a full service event planning firm, dedicated to hosting events that will not only entertain but empower the women who attend our events, while fostering a positive self image. We hosted our first event, Diva for a Day, in New York in 2006. It was such a success that we decided to make it our annual signature event.
Diva for a Day showcases various ways women can Relax, Relate and Release and pamper themselves. Now, more than ever, the voices of the average woman particularly sizes 14 and up are being heard and acknowledged for the tremendous buying power that they possess as consumers. Attendees will be from the New York City Metropolitan area, as well as New Jersey and Connecticut.
The Third Annual Diva for a Day Event is a day made for pampering, entertainment and enlightenment. The attendees will enjoy luxurious mini spa treatments - relaxing massages; rejuvenating facials; trendy makeup tips; fun dance lessons; delicious appetizers and cocktails and a fantastic fashion show to top off the evening.
Blissful Elegance will be donating a portion of the proceeds from its Diva for a Day event to benefit The Voices of Women Organizing Project. VOW was created by survivors of domestic abuse to identify solutions to key issues that victims and survivors of domestic violence face such as housing, legal injustices and day care.
Blissful Elegance believes that the efforts to end domestic violence in our communities must be demonstrated by those most affected by the issue. In order to end the abuse, VOW needs the leadership of survivors to:
- End the re-victimization of women and children by systemic policies and practices;
- Prevent violence against women and children;
- Hold abusers accountable for their actions; and
- Change the system to better meet the needs of battered women and their children.
VOW is a grass-roots advocacy organization comprised entirely of survivors of domestic violence. With training and support from VOW, survivors organize to improve policies and practices that affect battered women. VOW members document system failures, give testimony, meet with principal decision-makers and develop recommendations for change. Through VOW, survivors discover that they have a powerful voice which can influence the response to domestic violence in New York City. (www.vowbwrc.org.)

This sounds like an excellent event to contribute to - not only to get our business name out there, but to help battered women. I was in LE for many years and have participated in dozens domestic violence focus groups over the years - VOW is definitely a worthy cause in my book. Count me in :-) Will you be sending out a reminder?
