Today we're going to touch on two forms of networking and how we can integrate them together for a more seamless networking experience which will have a huge impact on how and why we network. BUSINESS NETWORKING (BIZNET): Business networking is a procedure for building rapport with the goal of generating new business leads. The best reason for this type of networking is to allow potential customers to "get to know you." To make them feel as though you're there to take away that "Oh no, here comes that salesperson again" feel. SOCIAL NETWORKING (SOCNET): Social networking is a procedure for building rapport with the goal of generating friendships, fun, and renewing friendships. The total difference is in BizNet you're building a rapport to build trust for sales and with SocNet you're sharing what you like. WHY WE SHOULD COMBINE THE TWO NETWORKING PHILOSOPHIES: People buy from people we know know and trust. We're more likely to ask a friend why they bought a particular type of television, automobile or computer. So if you're going to grow your business, it's best to attend networking events with the thought of making yourself available days/months after an event. Become a friend to those business card owners you networked with. We'll continue to discuss the Art of Networking in follow up sessions. Have a prosperous week. I wish you all green lights.
