Children's Play
I am putting on a fantastic play for children, and I am asking for you to please participate in this endeavor. The great twist to creating this play is that the writers will be YOU and it will be done as a contest!! The beginning of the play will be posted by me, and then YOU will be asked to submit your great ideas of what you think should happen next in the play. We are presently up to our FIFTH submission. A copy of the story is below.
The best suggestion will win the contest for that week. I am looking for creativity, originality, a little bit unusual and out of the ordinary, a little bit usual and inordinary, comedy, drama, action and lots of excitement. I am asking that it be realistic and at the same time have some fantasy. But remember, this story will be acted out by our stars, the children. So please keep this in mind when posting. Winner's parts will be posted on facebook, aol email, and BBW by the end of the week. Winners will also have free admission to the play! Money that is made from the admission fee will go to the childen and the building of my camp for children.
Stay tuned..the next posting will appear on facebook on Sunday, October 11th. I am excited about this play and working with YOU, and I hope that you will get excited too. Please participate and help to support children toext have o pportunities to be involved in positive, uplifting and learning experiences. Feel free to ask any questions at any time. Chapter 1
Everyone in the house was so excited! Sam was hyper as usual. He was jumping up and down on his bed and knocked his once packed suitcase to the floor. He was screaming at the top of his voice, "we're going to Grandma's house, we're going to Grandma's house"! Mommy and daddy were in the living room dancing to "Let's Get It On" by Marvin Gaye. Skippy was barking at them while running circles around their legs as they danced together. I was still packing and thinking about what a good time I was going to have when I arrive in Virginia. I will see all of my friends that live on Grandma's block. We'll go swimming, bike riding, hiking, we will play games, have parties and sleepovers, and we’ll do a lot of fun things! I can't wait! All of us were so happy while we were packing when all of a sudden, we heard mommy scream out Oh my Gosh! .....

Everybody come here, come here everyone! You are not going to believe me, but I just won the lottery for $500,000! I20had to catch mom as she fell off balance, and I had to lower her down to the kitchen table chair. I began to fan her with the 2008 calendar as the sweat popped off of her forehead. All of a sudden dad started dancing, and we began to jump up and down and scream to the top of our lungs. Mom sat there in shock with her eyes and mouth hanging wide open. It even seemed like the dog knew what was going on as he ran in circles chasing his tail. Suddenly, Mom jolted from the chair as she sang out loud, "Alleluia, Alleluia, we're rich, we're rich"! She danced around as her belly jiggled and danced too! As I watched everyone, a feeling of happiness flowed through my body, and I began dancing too! All I could think about was maybe now I can get that scooter that I always wanted! Dad stopped dancing as the telephone rang. After a few minutes I looked over at my father because I noticed that he became very quiet. When I saw his face, I knew that whoever was on the other end of the phone line was not having a pleasant conversation with my father, or he did not like what he was being told. Dad hung up the phone and a chill ran through my body as I saw that curve in his brow and the lines in his forehead appear. He then proceeded to tell us something that we probably did not want to hear. Can everyone please sit down? I just got a phone call from......

Grandpa. He proceeded to tell us all that Grandma had slipped and fell on the stairs and would need to go to the hospital. Grandpa told Dad that he thinks Grandma broke her ankle. Dad told Grandpa to try to put ic e on Grandma’s ankle and to call an ambulance. He also told Grandpa that he and Mom would be there as soon as possible. When Dad got off the phone, he told Mom to hurry up and pack our luggage. We would be leaving to go to Grandma’s a lot sooner than we intended. It took Mom only 1 hour to pack bags for five people. Then Dad put the luggage in the car. We drove to the airport in silence worrying about our grandmother’s ankle and well-being. “I hope she’s alright”, said Mom. “Oh, I’m sure she will be. Try not to worry too much”, said Dad. I looked out the car window as Dad raced to the airport. We were coming around a curve in the highway, when all of a sudden…

Topic 4 - Carol's entry....
when all of a sudden the car hit an oil slick. The car went careening around the curve in the highway; Dad turning the wheel and pumping the brakes trying to get the car under control. He looked in the rear view mirror to check on his children and saw the fear in their eyes. He heard his wife praying they would come out of this okay. Also in the mirror he noted headlights of cars behind him. He turned his mind back to the problem and looked ahead to see all these tail lights of other cars just ahead. Oh my God he says, there is a traffic jam up ahead. Still pumping the brakes, he tried to slow the skid... (anyone to continue)
