I wanted to share our story quickly. DCS 2 weeks ago came and removed my newborn nephew from his mother in the hospital and stated that the baby had been environmentally neglected in the hospital, that the mother was a flight risk, that she hadn't gotten prenatal care (and she did). This morning, the judge ruled that DCS had acted inappropriately and ordered the baby returned to his family immediately. It seems a rarity to find judges willing to question or reverse actions taken by DCS, so we are all so thankful this morning that we have him back.
