We are all guilty of inaction at some point in our lives. In order to do better you have to examine the root of your lack of motivation. Are you lazy, complacent or do you lack interest in the project at hand? If you are lazy and lack motivation remember this....the best things in life generally come to fruition with a plan, hard work and dedication. If you never want to see your dreams come true then by all means continue to be lazy. These are my words of wisdom for myself as well as others. I got tired of seeing my peers accomplish great things while I sat around and waited for great things to happen to me. I also don't want to be elderly and in the nursing home talking about shoulda, coulda, woulda. I want to be the life of of our bingo parties because I have so many wonderful stories to share!
Now, I wasn't lazy but more like an inconsistent hard worker. I would go hard for a few days or weeks or however long it took to complete my project and then tell myself that I deserved a break. However, my break would be way too long. I'm not much on NY resolutions but I like to adopt slogans to keep me motivated. The 2009 slogans are:
1. GO HARD!
2. FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION
3. MEDIOCRITY IS UNACCEPTABLE
I really like this question. What is holding us back from succeeding and becoming what we want to be in our business lives? This is a question that I ask myself every now and then.So I did a survey and this is what some of the responses were in question form: Coud it be that we see the success of others and think they have some magical formula that only works for them and we can't see ourselves there? Could it be we are afraid of succeeding? It may become overwhelming, or it may be more than we can handle and are not ready for it? Could it be we feel we don't have all the tools necessary to do the business the way we know we can and hold off until we have all those tools needed? Could it be we know where we want to go, but just not totally sure of how to get there?
If we can just do one thing each day to focus on our business goals- it will grow. I am a firm believer in hard work and perserverance. You have a tremendous amount of self made millionaires and success stories....You only have a handful of lottery winners....do the math.
Have a great Thursday and this was a really good question!

Hey Lashanda what a great post! I use to be this way until I starting the coaching program. I was the biggest procrastinator but that is all behind me now. I want to share this I recevied this a while ago!
13 Dream Killers
1. UNBELIEF: Having a particular belief system that is not the same belief system as the successors in your business.
2. STINKIN’ THINKIN’: Not having the right attitude or the right type of thinking coming into the business. Also not realizing that it’s not about “you” but it’s about the “clients & prospects”.
3. SPIRAL OF FEAR: Experiencing fear at any level. Fear leads to Doubt, Doubt leads to Limited Beliefs, Limited Beliefs lead to Excuses, Excuses lead to experiencing Guilt. Don’t succumb to the power of a spiraled fear.
4. NOT HAVING A COMPELLING VISION: Why did you get involved with the business? What is your compelling vision for your business? If id doesn’t bring tears to your eyes IT’S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!! Once you create the right compelling vision, it will motivate you regardless of who says no!
5. NOT HAVING A BURNING DESIRE: Something that will help you overcome any obstacle. Your desire must be bigger than the challenge.
6. NEVER MAKING A COMMITMENT TO WIN: True 100% commitment needs to be there – you can’t have 1% doubt & 99% commitment – IT JUST WON’T WORK!!! If a person has to remind you about changing your life – then you’re not committed to changing your life. You’re not only in the game – YOU ARE THE GAME!
7. NOT HAVING A COACHABLE HEART: Regardless of how much experience you’ve had, there’s ALWAYS something you need to learn.
8. NOT MAKING A TIME COMMITMENT: Commit time to what you see value in. Full time in Network Marketing is considered 20 hours a week.
9. NOT HAVING A SET SCHEDULE: Put yourself on a strategic schedule for your business.
10. ALIENATING YOUR SUPPORT: Don’t alienate your support. Put people in a position to be your business advocate. Celebrate your successes with your friends & family. Show them your success & respect their point of view.
11. HAVING INDEFINITE OR WEAK LANGUAGE WHEN PRESENTING THE BUSINESS: Listen to those who’ve come before you & their approach to the business & FOLLOW IT. People will receive the information how you present it. Model “Language of Success”.
