Are Sistas Making Sales Right Now?

Slow economy or not, people are still spending money. Aren't you still spending? Perhaps not to the degree you might like, but aren't you still spending money to take care of your families needs and wants? If you are still spending money that means that people are still making money and Sistas are still making sales. In this post I want to spotlight several businesses by women entrepreneurs of color in the hopes of both supporting them and showing you the secret to your continued success. Now is not the time for you to panic. Obviously in a recession you should downsize where ever you can, but realize that pinching pennies will not help to improve your profits. You must continue to invest in your business. I just read a great article that said if you want to weather the recession, do not stop marketing your products. According to this article, Media sales guru Josh Gordon noted in 2002 (and again recently in his blog) that during the Great Depression cereal-maker Post cut its advertising budget while Kellogg's did not.     Yes, sistas are making sales right now!

    I am not only continuously serving my loyal customers, but I am gaining new customers during this economic downturn. I am working my networks and email list, I am cross marketing with other businesses, and I am doing positively well with connecting with empowerment organizations for girls. It is a lot of work, but that is what it is all about. I don't focus on the possible "lack" of now, I focus on the "gain" of tomorrow. Not everyone is experiencing financial hardship, so moving forward leads those consumers to you. When business is slow, that is the time to sit, reflect, do, and listen to the direction you should go in. Never stop!

I don't know why I am nothing generating any sales. Im losing my regular job on Friday so I am desperate to get my business of the ground. My website is www.namarioils.com.     You're sooo right my Sistah!
