This week in my SistaSense Newsletter, I decided to talk about the importance of Making the Most of what you Already have, especially in a difficult economy. Now if your business is up and running, one of the things you already have is existing customers. As our resident Small Business Expert Richelle Shaw points out, one of the things you should always make the most of is your Existing Customer List. Retaining your current customers is the first Big R, in Richelle's system to success.
I personally know this to be true because it is something that I implemented in my business long before I met Richelle. When I was struggling to get my business off the ground, one of my biggest problems was not getting new customers, but letting existing ones fall through the cracks because I had terrible follow-up and I was so fixated on new people, I foolishly let the old ones go!
But here is a Richelle Shaw tip that I would like to share with you: The Easiest person to sell to is someone who has already bought. So let me stop yapping, and let's talk chatting. Seriously, how often do you communicate with your existing customers? And what have you found to be some of the most effective means of communication? If you aren't building those relationships with clients, what are you doing? Are you just interested in making the next sale?
