TheLoanModificationGuide.com is one of my recent landing page projects. Upon completion my client had the following question:
"How do we make this landing page pop up in google & yahoo when someone types in certain key words?"
In other words, how does one improve their page ranking and visibility? What internet marketing strategies can you use to help potential customers find you on Search Engines like Google and other spaces online? Let's start with Search Engines. Here are a few things you can do to help get you own the 1st page of Google: (1) Drive Traffic to your Landing Page Using PPC Ad Campaigns via Google Ad Words. You don't have to do this forever, just long enough to help boost your ranking. Use the Google Keyword Tool to help you select the best keywords that fit your ad budget. (2) Drive Traffic via Youtube by creating a series videos related to your niche. You can create videos that answer common questions, explain what your product is all about, shed light on a few quick tips that can really help people - (More details here). (3) Drive Traffic via viral marketing on Facebook. Entrepreneurs use Facebook.com for three reasons - everybody is on Facebook, you can talk to people in real time, AND the viral nature of 'like' and 'share' links makes it easy for people in your circle to share your stuff. Consider Facebook Ads (I've heard they are cheaper than Adwords). (3.2) Drive Traffic via Facebook Fan Pages. Create Your own Fanpage and use it to connect with people in your niche. Answer questions, regularly post youtube videos of interest and/or tips and deals on your product. With a little focus you can strategically use a Facebook fan page to drive steady traffic back to your website. (More Details on Social Media Marketing). (4) Drive Traffic by simply telling people what you do. Create a quick Tweet, FB Status Update, or video that let's the people who are currently in your circle know what you are doing. Tell them to check it out and/or recommend it to someone they know who can use it. Referrals often sell products better than you because people already trust the person who referred them. (4.2) Drive Traffic by going through your email list and creating a new list of people you want to tell about your new product/service and send them an email. You never know who they will share your message with. (5) Drive Traffic with good PR. Get on those blogTalkRadio shows, find blogs in your niche or who target your audience - pitch them an article and see what happens. You want to get your link on as many sites and in front of as many people as possible. (5.2) Drive Traffic with ezinearticles.com - many entrepreneurs use this service to both share their expertise AND build linkage back to their website. (6) Drive Traffic to your website by creating your own social network. As the founder of three social networks, like Black Business Women Online I can say first hand - I do not have to page for advertising because I get steady traffic from my network. If you don't want to create your own network at the very least you should start your own group or Facebook fan page. More details here on creating a social network. (7) Drive Traffic with an affiliate program. I setup my affiliate program by selling my products through ejunkie and I know other internet marketers who use use clickbank or 1shoppingcart. You can use your affiliate program as an incentive to get others to sell your products for you. In the case of my web client, I would say think of business professionals who work with people in need of a loan modification. Who can you partner with to help promote your product?
