I did not know where to write this post so i decided on here. I had a really big blow today. For those who don't know my background i just started an online shoe boutique a little less than three weeks ago . I let my so called friends and family know about it. Not even a comment. Here's the kicker my aunt posts on fb that she bought a pair of shoes for herself yesterday.I was so hurt i started crying. I know i have to have thick skin to be in business and it certainly is her money to spend anyway she chooses. I just am struggling to just get one sale and here she is buying and supporting, financing someone else's dream. My husband of course is not supportive. I really need an ehug.

It seems like when you have a dream, the closest ones to you will not support you. Just keep moving forward and following your dream. I don't even know you but let me tell you to keep your head up. I want you to know that I SUPPORT YOU! I SUPPORT YOU 100%. What is the name of your website so I can be your first customer?
awww thank you I really appreciate it. My website is http://www.shoeforiashoes.com but I don't want you or anyone else to purchase anything because you feel sorry for me. I would like if you purchase some thing if you really like something. Your words really made me feel good and i am damn proud of myself. Just to start was an accomplishment that most people will never do. I looked over my website last night and it ain't much but it looks good and its mine. I really was crushed but like everything else that has gone wrong or hurt my feelings i'll keep going. Thank you so much! And have a great time looking at my shoes even if you don't buy.

So I have a few questions for you.
Who is your target audience?
How are you marketing your website and shoes?
I have a lot of great ideas that can boost your business. If you want to e-mail me I can be reached at ejohnson@guidingu2success.com
*Hugs* to you, sis. Like you, I don't receive a whole lot of support from my family about what I do, but luckily, I do have the support of my friends and fiance.
In my opinion, it's important to find other supportive people like the women on this site and others like it. Also, read inspirational and motivational books, magazines and websites; that helps me as well.
Anyway, I hope this helps you, and keep your head up, dear : * )

Thank You your kind words and advice helped a great deal. I do enjoy reading about other inspirational stories about black women. Unfortunately i have had moderate success locating articles on them and all the mainstream media shoves down your throat is Oprah. She is fine and all but there are many more to report on but they do not or will never get the shine they deserve. Do you have any links on stories or people you can suggest?
I have interviewed some successful black women (Successful Sistas) on my blog, for colored gurls. There's also a website called in her shoes that features Fly Female entrepreneurs who I find very inspiring.
One more thing, there are a couple of books I read when I need inspiration. One is Kimora Lee Simmons's book, "Fabulosity: What It Is & How To Get It," and "Get Yours: How to Have Everything You Dreamed of and More."
