Why Should You Brand Your Business?
 
In my coaching practice, one of the top issues that I face is Branding. Although it is not the top issue, it is an overall issue that many entrepreneurs face.
 
Why is Branding so important?
The entrepreneurship world has evolved into a place fascinated by brands. The brand tells a story about the quality of the product the client/customer can expect. Think for a second about how we shop at a grocery store. When you cruise from isle to isle, you are fascinated with the 'name brand' products on the shelves. You associate quality in the name of that product. I know in my home, the one thing that I cannot live without is coffee. I am crazy for Maxwell House coffee. I have tons of it in my cabinets. However, there are other brands, including the store brands that may be comparable, but overall, I know the quality of Maxwell House. I know the taste, smell and quality of it. Why try anything else?
 
It is the same thought process you need to put into your brand. Why should your clients/customers patronize you? What makes your business unique? What other products do you offer within your brand? Do you have a logo or a tag line that is memorable? What is the value you are adding to your clients? What is your specialty? All of these are factors in determining if you are managing your brand efficiently.
