I specialize in Urban Chic, contemporary art pieces. Art works are inspired from urban environments, a collage of urban chic. The inspiration behind my first collection, Urban inspired Chic; was inspired through feminine ornamental accessories. Statement beads, semi-precious stones are captured on photo graphic paper. Depicting the exhilaration of Urban animation.
I' am in the process of lunching my second portfolio entitled Afro Urban Chic. My inspiration comes from the fusion of art and fashion. I call this style Art-Couture. I wanted to present an alternative for art and fashion lovers. Thus I have combined both art forms that speaks of details concerning some aspects of Afro Urban lifestyles.
Couture enters the Afro Urbanist through her quest to create a stylish image that suits her, whether for going to Uni, museum visits too cocktail parties. The Afro Urbanist always looks chic.
Afro Urban Chic is an eclectic mix of African textiles, Caribbean creativity, accented with European structures. Which lends to a stylish collage of fresh vibrancy. This style is aimed at women who like to wear juxtapose textiles, fabrics and colour.
This eclectic collection should appeal to women who enjoy being creative, thus this collection carries an universal appeal. I like to think of Afro Urban Chic, as an inspirational contemporary collection for women who enjoy stepping out of her comfort zone.
