The internet is such a great tool for our business. Its fast, its free in most cases to advertise and allows you to see the entire world in your pajama's. In the same vein, the internet can have a hold on you so tight that it bounds you from moving forward in your business. Truly ladies you know you have procrastinated and have gotten nothing done some days because you are stuck watching the computer; tick... tick... tick... . You watched as the hour passes by and you have not prospected, picked up the phone and/or reconnected with your clients, have not filled your handbag with flyers to hand out the next time you meet someone at the grocery store, bank, picking up your kids from school, on the bus, train, or at the check out counter. Mmmmm.... does this sound like you?
Like everything in life, this online procrastination must stop if you want to grow your business and earn an income. The fact that you have started a business is awesome and congratulations to you! However, to keep the momentum going you must work your business everyday for a set number of hours on line and off. For example in my Compass business I work 3 hours face to face and 2 hours online for a total of 5 hours per day. Its important to work your business like a job in order to get things done. ( and that's another topic for later date) Also, the determination you have to working your business will be the key to living abundantly. Do you remember the reason you decided to go into business for yourself? What was your why? Was it to be debt free, to send your kids to college, to add to your retirement package, to own a beautiful home, to travel the world, to donate to your favorite causes etc.
While you think of your why just remember that the internet is just one, yes one of the tools that can help you grow your business. There are other tools coupled with the internet that may double your marketing efforts if used consistently such as getting out into the world, networking one on one, letting the community know what you have to offer is right here and you are a person that is live and ready to show them your products and services. In this day and age believe it or not people are still wary of purchasing or conducting business on the internet. For lasting friendships to occur online it takes time, it does not happen overnight.
So ladies, depending on your business you may get a faster response with a client/prospect face to face, in exchange of email, business card, an immeditate sale or someone interested in connecting with your to join your business etc. These are enormous advantages for those who still believe in doing business face to face as well as online. In all, don't let that face to face networking connection slip away. Go out and let the world see the greatest leader known to your business..... YOU!!!
God Bless,
