Hi Ladies:
There are a lot of us on this forum and all of us are trying to create some income streams in addition to, or instead of our day jobs. But there comes a time where we should take a breath and step back.
I did this recently - after two years of running a successful natural bath and body business, I decided to take a break, step back and see what I really wanted to do with my biz. And you know something, I realized there were a lot of things I didn't like about my business - not that these things were wrong, but just that I didn't like them.
So, I made a difficult decision to turn my back on my scents and my beloved shea butter for a while to make the business what I want it to be. Instead of running it "half-brained" (which was my perception of what I was doing) I CLOSED IT DOWN. Whew!
Yes, it was a difficult decision because that was a good flow of income for me. But taking a break has allowed me to have a clearer eye and to incorporate many changes that I just didn't take the time to do before.
Mind you, I'm still sending out my newsletter to my customer base, though and keeping them informed of what's going on, plus giving "value added" natural advice.
Don't be afraid to take a break - to renew your biz eye and maybe make it a little better - you'll be thankful that you did this in the long run.

I want to commend you for having the courage to take a step back from your business to find out what you really want to do. I feel like it is time for me to do the same thing.
What a great post. I hear you completely. Sometimes you DO have to take a break so that you can see the "forest from the trees." Kudos to you for being brave enough to take that step!
