When the entrepreneurial bug bites you go forward full, fast and furious. It usually bites when you have only pocket change for marketing your new business. But if you take a step back and focus there are lots of solutions that may help you to market your business when your working at home and on a tight budget. One particular marketing solution that comes to mind that I have consistently used is the email addresses of prospective customers. With that said, you really have a gold mine of information at your fingertips. Lets take a look!
The email addresses of prospective customers are huge when it comes to marketing. First, these customers have contacted you in regards to your business. Now, whether they have placed in order or not they are of enormous value and have extreme potential in some form or fashion; because you still have a connection to them until they opt to discontinue that relationship. Secondly, with these email addresses at your fingertips, use them to your advantage. Well, if your thinking use them to do what? This is when your creative process should begin to flow.
These prospective email addresses may be use to send:
1- A tip of the day notice- who does not like hearing about tips that are relevant and useful on an on-going basis.
2- A newsletter containing upcoming information/ products regarding your business. Keep them in the loop because out of sight is out of mind. By the way, a newsletter should be simple, it may take the form of a paragraph or two with graphics of your business products or service.
3- A small complimentary gift is a plus- You can market this as a "special promotion of the month or week" - This is enormous, A nice inexpensive item really sets the tone for a good relationship. Be crafty, think of the dollar store to design or purchase that one of a kind thrifty piece. One must give in order to receive!
Yes, be inspired by your customers, be connected to them. Show them you appreciate their business. Make them feel special. They will love you for it! That is what being in business is all about. Truly, being of service to others sets the tone for all business ventures!
