  • Girl i need to know the cheapest way to obtain business credit. I am used to doing things myself instead of paying someone else thousand of dollars to do it. It really is a matter of paperwork and who to contact. Any help or websites will be fabulous!

    • hey gurly! i started mine by educating myself from real people stories on how and what to do to build business credit at www.creditboards.com
  • I feel overwhelmed. I feel like my business is a rather large movement. Any tips on how you all conquer different but complimenting ideas simultaneously. Also, how do you handle content writing, social networking, client appointments, and prospecting? So much, I feel like I'm working non-stop to set things up.
  • My target market for one of my offerings is new wireless customers, people who are looking to switch wireless carriers once their contract is up or those who may be looking to upgrade. What are some cost effective ways to reach these audiences?

    • Social networking.... this is a very cost efficient and easy way to reach your target market. Join ning sites like this one, it costs nothing! Also, try marketing on websites by providing your banner and link to your own website.. try out adtraffikpages.net and clickblack.net. This will be a great start. Both sites are geared to the black community.

  • What should be my first priority? I'm the mother of a 4 year old and a 6 year old . I was laid off from my job in May and haven't found anything new. Right now I'm receiving unemployment that is enough to pay my major bills and supplementing my income with occasional sales of my crafts and mystery shopping . I get a lot of compliment on my work but very few sales. I'm filling out a lot of job applications and getting very few call backs. I fell like I never really have enough time to do everything business related and spend quality time with my children. I don't know if I should spend less time looking for a job and more time trying to build my business or spend less time on marketing and concentrate on finding a steady job before my unemployment runs out.
    • When I was laid off, I used the majority of my time to build my business. I applied to several temp agencies and let them search for me a job. Several offers were thrown my way and I landed a position! Also, I have a son so I tried to dedicate specific times of the day where I would spend quality time with him and eventually I decided to keep him in daycare for a couple of days out the week so that I could focus more on my work and have time to meet with clients. Hope this helps solve you dillema... affinity
  • Hi LaShanda and fellow BBWO,
I am a new entreprenuer. I want to know the proper way to cold "call" on potential clients. What to include in an introductory email or letter? Or is this the proper way to introduce myself to those that could benefit from my services?

P.S. I am still working on my website. Hopefully, it will be up and ready to go live by the end of this week.

    Thanks!
