What's Your Business?

Performing Arts Administrator

About Me:

I am a sister on a mission. I am a wife to a wonderful (and sometimes crazy) man, Mr. Stacey Leary. My step-son, Keimen, lives with us. He is a talented (and sometimes annoying) teenager who is mostly into video games, his friends and general teenage shenanigans!! I am sure many of you can relate. They keep me pleny busy!! I love to read....currently reading Dr. Cornel West's "Race Matters". Considering our current social, political and economic climate, it is certainly enlightening and providing lots of food for thought. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends the most, writing, traveling, shopping (shoes, boots, purses, etc.), visiting museums, attending performances and listening to music. I am a Performing Arts Administrator who grew up in the world of African Dance in Washington, DC. My late father, Andrew Cacho, founder of Andrew Cacho African Drummers and Dancers, Inc., ensured my participation in all things arts (dance, stilt-walking, drumming, music, theatre). I am an alumni of The George Washington University with a B.A. in Dance. I recently completed my M.B.A. in New York at Keller Graduate School of Management. If you are thinking, 'what a career jump', let me remind you that there is no show without business!! Okay?? I currently work in the Finance Depatment at Dia Art Foundation, Inc. and QIIQ Theatre Productions. I am the Treasurer of the Parent Association for Brooklyn School of Music and Theatre. I work closely with artists and arts professionals on strategic planning, board and program development. My life long dream is to establish a performing arts school that serves all youth, particularly those who are socially and economically disadvantaged. Dance has served me well all of my life. It has provided me with a deeper and better understanding of people and the world.

  • Hi there, I just wanted to introduce myself and my new business. I am trying to network with as many people as possible to see if there are ways that we can support each other. I offer unique and affordable works of African art that make impactful gifts for all occasions. If you have a special occasion coming up, or if you just want to connect with Africa yourself, please bookmark our site.

Do you know anyone who has a birthday or special event coming up, Catherine?
