About Me:
Kali Durga Devi Shakti Ma!!! I'm a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher and a certified practitioner through the Shakti Mind Body Studio. I currently teach Shakti Vinyasa Flow and Hatha Yoga classes in and around the Washington DC Metropolitan Area. We raise the kundalini life force! I facilitate adult, children and pre-natal yoga and Kirtan workshops. Kirtan is a call and response singing gathering in the ancient Sanskrit language. I am a partner in the Strength-Vitality-Wellness Program here in DC. I am also the founder of Niyama Yoga Center and Ethereal Poetics. The Powers that be have called my spirit to do this work in the world to help others through balancing and harmonizing mind, body and spirit. My main focus is playfully working with yoga postures as a moving meditation, pranic breathing with internal visualizations, vocal affirmation/release and spiritually uplifting poetry to facilitate a true journey into the heart of being a Lotus Flower woman. My teaching techniques sometimes include Thai yoga massage, partner work, soft hands-on adjustments, aromatherapy and energy work to open each student energetically and ecstatically. For over 15 years, I have practiced Yoga. I want to work with many people; old, young and in-between. My goal is to make yoga accessible to all.
