About Me:
Egypt Lawson is the President and Co-owner of Hairline Illusions, LLC (www.hairlineillusions.com), a business that manufactures and distributes upscale custom wigs and hairstyling alternatives. Mrs. Lawson brings over 20 years of hair designing experience to the business, and her experience is evident in the quality of her products. Made from 100% human hair, the wigs that Egypt Lawson makes require each strand of hair to be individually knotted onto a cap using a special technique that makes the wigs look completely natural. The products offered by Hairline Illusions are the most realistic hair products available and are marketed toward the entertainment industry and upscale salons as well as to individual consumers. In addition to running Hairline Illusions, Mrs. Egypt Lawson, along with her husband Ken Lawson, launched Hair That Cares, Inc. (www.hairthatcares.org), a non-profit organization that grants medical wigs (realistic, high-quality wigs with hair knotted to a special wig cap) to people suffering from hair loss as a result of chemotherapy or Alopecia Areata. With a firm belief in the concept that people feel better when they look better, Egypt Lawson and Hair That Cares provide a product to people that many insurance companies will not cover. Ever the entrepreneur, Egypt Lawson has also launched The Goddess Haven (www.goddesshaven.org), an online support group that meets once a month for professional women to discuss anonymously a variety of issues that they face in the world today in a safe, supportive group environment. Egypt Lawson donates at least 20 hours a month to assist the women who come to the site seeking guidance and advice. When she is not working, Egypt Lawson enjoys riding motorcycles, watching movies, bowling, and reading self-empowering books such as “The Secret,” “Think and Grow Rich,” and “Creative Visualization.” Egypt Lawson currently lives in New York City.
