About Me:
I am the owner/creative director of a boutique event planning and management firm - Beckwith & Associates, LLC located in Atlanta, GA. I have been in the special events industry for over 9 years and have loved everyminute of it! I love entertaining friends and am always hosting some sort of event at my house on a regular basis. So if I'm not working on a client's event you can best believe that I'm planning something at my house. I guess you could call me a social entertaining junkie! (smile) Throughout my years of event planning I have planned events as small as a romantic dinner for two to a large homeownership expo for over 2,000+ and everything in between. In addidion to my event planning business I also teach a wedding planning class for couples to help them plan the wedding of their dreams called "Congratulations You're Engaged...Now What?". Just recently I launched an internet radio show on Blog Talk Radio - "Cocktails and Conversations with the Event Diva" which airs every Thursday night at 8:00 P.M. EST (www.blogtalkradio.com/cocktailsandconversations). In addition to being an entrepreneuer I am a wife and proud mother of two wonderful sons who keep me quite busy with all of their sporting activities!

I am so intriqued about your radio talk show, you truly inspire me to move forward with my career as an event planner. I really think that is a great idea, (and I have so much to share) to share entertainment ideas and do's and don'ts with the community. Because I don't think we get a lot of that. And I think sharing is so important especially in that aspect. As people of color, we do our share of entertaining, anywhere from family gatherings to every day gathering at the dinner table. Either way no matter how big or small they're all equally important and I believe the right setting for whatever the occasion sets the mood for great conversation and enjoyment. Again, great idea and keep it up.
