About Me:
Glennisha is a Detroit native who has been passionate about writing ever since elementary school. During her younger days she wrote short stories, plays, poems, and she kept a diary. When her elementary school started a newspaper she was ecstatic and that is what caused her to gain interest in journalism. From then she continued to write for her schools newspaper up to her collegiate career. Her opportunity to attend the University of Florida's Summer Journalism Institute during her junior year of high school is what made her realize that even though she loves writing period she is a journalist at heart. Glennisha's diverse background has allowed her to write about many different issues but, writing about culture, music, and LGBT and women's issues is what excites her the most. During her writing career Glennisha has had the wonderful opportunity to interview people like Chester French, Deborah Cox, Bobby Valentino, Kaira Akita, and Miss Rap Supreme's Byata. Glennisha currently contributes to Clutch Magazine, Digiwaxx, and Black Gay Gossip. In addition to work Glennisha maintains a blog that she created exclusively for female Emcees called The Fembassy.
