About Me:

I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2000. I was 24. We had just gotten married 10 weeks prior. I went to cancer hell and back but I didn't blog during that time, I wish I had but I doubt it very much as I didn't even have the energy or the desire to do anything except puke and sleep. I had chemo and radiation lasting 10 months total. I've been in remission for 6+ years. We have 2 kids (after cancer & treatments!). Life is good now. I started blogging 3 years ago, after I had a miscarriage. I was shattered and wanted to find peace and strength and sunshine again (and I have!!!) Blogging gives me an outlet to pour my emotions into words, it lets me jot down the silly things that our kids do, and some other nonsense stuff. I have an engineering degree. I worked for about 5 years wearing funny bunny (clean room / space) suits. I don't want to do that anymore and haven't for about 3 years now. I was a SAHM during that time. We (husband and I) recently launched our new business in autumn of 2007, you can check it out here: KangarooBoo.com As a cancer survivor and a parent, I am committed to making a difference in children's lives. We've always did fund raising events, and we are extending that into our business mission as well. KangarooBoo donates a portion of ALL SALES at ALL TIMES to children related charities (make your purchases meaningful!!!) , and the customer picks which charity s/he wishes to support (from our list) and where the money will go during checkout. My ultra cool husband web developer wrote the entire site himself, from the ground up. He used Ruby on Rails that he self-learned. He ROCKS. It's just the two of us running KangarooBoo right now; he's the technology guy while I uphold the rest of the business. Any comments, questions, and or suggestions please feel free to contact me. Love doesn't pay the bills I'm afraid, so we truly appreciate any and all help you offer, whether it be buying from us and or telling/emailing others about our site. Make a difference, however little it may seem. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Where to find me, besides here: My Blog: sweetisu.com My Store: KangarooBoo.com LinkedIn: Link me Facebook: Facebook me Twitter: Follow me on Twitter MSN Messaging ID: sweetisu@hotmail.com (non-functional email) Email me: sweetisu@gmail.com
