Why do you want to join Black Business Women Online?

I was introduced to raw food eating for health last year. I see that the raw chefs that are popular on facebook and elsewhere are caucasion. The black raw/vegan folks in the city are underground. I want it to be mainstream in the city of Detroit. With the opening of the The Raw Food Cafe owned by Black people, I know that we are on our way. I want to see if there are any more Black women traveling and promoting this way of healthy eating besides the one person I encountered on facebook, Tracye McQuirter the author of By any Greens Necessary.


What's Your Business?

I officially do not have a business. I have started this journey by committing to eating a raw food diet for the month of June and blogging about it @ eatingmorefruitsandveggies.blogspot.com. After the 30 days post before and after pics and go from there. Although I know some things from reading and experience, I need to commit totally and show results in order to be an example to others. Another motivator to promote "eating more fruits and veggies", is that the women in my family are overweight and on high blood pressure medication. I see that if I don't change my ways I'll be right with them.
