Why do you want to join Black Business Women Online?
I am proud to be an aspiring author and writer. Publishing and reading stories about Black people is what I love most. Keeping our history and telling the story of how we have survived is important to me. It is my desire to connect with black women for self empowerment because we are the backbone of our families. Our hands are the hands that raise the seeds of a nation. Our love and devotion to our children and partners creates citizens that contribute to the world in a healthy way. I am a Black Woman and I am extremely proud and radically humble to be a Black woman. Online we are a powerful presence and there is much that we have to contribute to the world through goods, services and information that will assist our community and assist us as women to live a quality life. If we all just click on each other's site at least once it can make a great diffenence in the efforts we are making to increase our presence on the Internet. Black women are not represented on the internet as we could be and this is a great beginning. I applaud Ms Henry for this site and I am glad to be here.

About Me:
Black women can benefit from giving support to each other in their Personal Development by sharing their experiences as the healer and nurturer of their families. As the Creative Director of African American Family Connection, my mission is to improve and dispel the negative stereotypes of Black family life. My magazine is devoted to all aspects of Black family living. The tone and communication style is "Kitchen Table Wisdom" homespun stories from family members usually shared around cooking or sharing a meal or "breaking bread" together. Much of what we learned and the way we passed on information is through story-telling and oral history. Family is important to me because how we raise our children is a reflection of our contribution to the world. We need each other and we need to connect in order to be a strong force collectively. Currently residing in Baltimore, MD. I am a grandmother from Akron OH, celebrating the unique way of life in the African American Family Each publication of this magazine is content focused on various aspects about the traditions and life style of African Americans. A place to communicate, access information and present various perspectives about the quality of life in the African American community.
