About Me:

Nadine Coombs affectionately called “Nay” was born in the beautiful Island of Jamaica. Fashion has always been a part of her heart. At a very tender age she was exposed to arts and cultural events that allowed her to recognize beauty as not only skin deep but to accentuate that with a touch of elegance and class. She has participated in cultural events such as the Jamaica festival competition, which exposed her to lavish costumes and designs that were eyecatching. She pursued modeling for a number of years and danced with National Dance Theatre Company as well through her high school years. This continued to give her exposure to the fashion world. Upon graduating High School she was accepted into Passley Gardens Teachers College to pursue a career in teaching. She became very active as a role model at this institution where she assisted in the planning of Concerts, Fashion Shows and also later entered the Miss Passley Gardens Teachers College Pageant. Here she was placed 1st runner up and held the titles of Most Congenial, Best Dressed and Best Smile. She then went on to enter Miss Portland where again she was placed 1st runner up. In 1993 she moved to the United States and went on to Mercy College where she received a degree in Marketing and Business Management. For Her fashion is a statement of the heart. “You represent what you think, feel and express when you get dressed each day”. Among her flair for fashion she also writes poetry, loves all types of music, traveling, enjoys helping and meeting interesting people and has strong religious beliefs. She also volunteers her time to organizations that assist men, women and children in need. Additionally, her company Poize Entertainment Inc aka Poize Entertprise was created with a vision to design and create a sense of beauty and comfort to all women. But also to reach out and make a difference with her “Passion through Fashion Campaign” the Poize Outreach Program will cover that aspect of the company. She hopes to emphasize to women that with a little love and the right attire you can be whoever you choose on any given day. She has traveled all over and has richly taken in the culture of many different places and with that she is ready to create fashion with a touch of love.

  • Lol, not a yawdie, but a more of a northern island cousin - Bermuda - but I do understand patois and love a lot of the colloquialisms. Be sure to let me know when your site is completely up as I have some things in the works for some of the designers and magazine publishers in my circle. Blessings!
