About Me:

For me, who's name means "freedom" in Swahili, living a life with a passion for people, creativity, music, dance, motivational inspiration & fashion is more than a dream, but a way of thinking. I'm a Chicago native mother of two, born March 29, 1983, & grew up in the north shore suburban township of Wilmette, IL. I'm a New Trier High School graduate & alumnus of the International Academy of Design and Technology, where I received my BA in Fashion Visual Merchandising Management. As a teenager, I often found myself drawn to the world of artistic creativity, modeling, dance, photography & fashion inspiration. Everything from taking part in local & national pageants, taking on modeling & acting training with John Robert Powers, to indulging my musical & vocal talents with studio & vocal training, I love the ability of self expression & the freedom to be all that she could be. For over 14 years, i've been a dancer, creative instructor, singer, artistic director for industry models, and more. Through persistent endeavors & positive attitude, I believes that "being the movement...is all you need to create a movement.
