Why do you want to join Black Business Women Online?
I would like to join BBWO for many reasons. Firstly, as a woman, I believe in the empowerment of women of all races. Secondly, I think BBWO will be a good marketing avenue in reaching my target audience for Chosaan. Thirdly, I admire the great work Ms Henry put into the creation of such a presentable and great networking site.
What's Your Business?
Chosaan, Wolof word for tradition, is a home-based online African cultural store. It specializes in hand-made traditional and contemporary African creations from the Western and Southern regions of the continent. Our items include home decor, art, serving utensils, tableware sets, jewelry, apparel, accessories, candles, and many more! These items make great gift ideas for any occasion!
How did you find BBWO?
About Me:
My name is Yailouise Ndure. I was born in Senegal but lived most of my life in The Gambia, West Africa. I moved to the United States for further education and upward mobility. I worked in the corporate industry for about 3 years after graduating from college. However, I lost my employment as a result of the current economy climate. As a result, I reflected back on my life, and the path I was going, and decided to go back to my roots. I followed my love for African creativity, which led to Chosaan's birth.

Networking, Staying touch with family and friends, meeting new people.
