About Me:
PAT AUGUSTUS GILBERT, a motivational speaker is formally launching her self-improvement/empowerment plan for women…MOYA®-Making-Over Your Attitude from the Inside Out. PAG has extensive experience developing and administering programs that have had a direct impact on individuals from diverse backgrounds. She has always exhibited a keen sensitivity towards others. As a result of this, she has adopted a person-centered philosophy when interacting with all individuals. She has worked as a school administrator, teacher, a guidance counselor and a therapist. As an independent consultant, her focus has been in the areas of behavioral health, women’s issues and business development. Her various positions have involved the development of partnerships with stakeholders within communities. She strongly believes that the cross integration of services and the utilization of linkages are necessary components for the successful growth and development of individuals. PAG’s accomplishments include: the first African American female to serve on the East Norriton Planning Commission, received a Resolution from East Norriton Township for Dedication as a Public Official, creator of Pagamints, appearance on the Sally Jessy Rapheal Show, developed the Student Services Department for a new charter school, founding partner of a fund development corporation, first African American to win in the make-up division at the National Modeling Association Convention, and appeared in the theatrical production of the Marvin Gaye Story and will appear in the soon to be released movie, Dare. Over the years, her commitment and dedication have been acknowledged by East Norriton Township, the Norristown Area School District, Montgomery County Children & Youth, the Philadelphia School District, the Philadelphia Council of Clergy, the City of Philadelphia and others. Membership affiliations include: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Jack & Jill of America, Inc.(charter member Montgomery County Chapter), Kappa Silhouettes (Charter Member Norristown, PA Chapter), former board member of the Rittenhouse Center for the Performing Arts, former board member Family House, former member of the Montgomery County Office of Children & Youth and board member of the R.O.S.E. Foundation. PAG has a M.Ed. in Counseling and a B.A. in Sociology. She is married, a mother of two and a grandmother of three.
