She grew up in East St. Louis, Illinois and is the oldest of three daughters. She volunteers as a tutor and mentor for School on Wheels, an organization committed to homeless children. Brown considers herself to be a lifelong student who enjoys learning. While attending and graduating Magna Cum Laude from Los Angeles Valley College, she was extremely active in student government as an Officer and Commissioner for Environmental Affairs. Brown helped form many clubs and organizations in college, then on a Presidential Scholarship went on to California State University Dominguez Hills graduating Magna Cum Laude and with honors. Brown is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Educational Multimedia at California State Polytechnic University of Pomona. A strong believer in women having a voice and being heard, Brown is an advocate for women rights, education, children and the homeless. In her free time she enjoys staying home with her husband and watching “Leave It to Beaver.” Brown loves spending time at the library, talking, cooking and laughing and producing Every Way Woman.
