As the inventor of a product my motives are selfish, I confess. But I would like for BBWO to use its influence to get Black products noticed. Is there a way to create a form letter or mass email that could target particular stores and/or media outlets? I receive form letters and mass emails from MoveOn.org and all kids of organizations requesting that I sign my name to online petitions that are forwarded to government officials in large numbers. Why can't we support each other by creating the same type of form letters when we know of a Black business that deserves to be featured on television, or when we think a particular market should embrace a Black owned product line? Do the members of BBWO have the power to influence what products stores put on shelves and what products get featured on television, in magazines, and on the radio? Of course we do. If we target a particular industry and force them to take a look at a Black owned product or service we can not be denied.
I like your idea. I'm trying to flesh out in my head though how something like this would work... Let me see what I can come up with. Thanks for taking the time to vote and share your suggestions. You have definitely given me food for thought.
