Hi Ladies,
For those of you who read my announcement, you might have remembered my Notice that BBWO would now be exclusive to women. Now these past few weeks I have got quite a few male entrepreneurs interested in participating, all of which I have not approved membership to but I would like to hear from you all how you feel about that.
Are you interested in BBWO remaining exclusive to women? Would you mind men joining? Are their pros, cons? Let me know what you think.

As I appreciate and respect my male counterpart in business, I embrace and celebrate the very fact that this forum is intensively focused on building the BW.
I am sure that they may have much to offer as it concerns the business and work experiences, however LaShanda, what you have so successfully created is a "Synergistic Society of Powerful Feminine Prowess" who are connecting, bonding, building and, more importantly, growing to, from, and with one another.
I am sure I have shared more than my "two cents" however, this is my take and thus, I thank you for this "Mirror-Image" forum Just For Me!.
Hmmmm.... am I too late??? I say, let's keep it for US. The women. I enjoy being able to network and build and share with my sistas!!! (No offense David) I recently had the pleasure of joining BBS...YIKES!!! It's like a zoo. I like the "peace" of BBWO. I don't know too many places like this where we can just "be".

I am so tired of not being able to have anything just for women. I do mind men joining. Men for years and years have had their clubs without women. Let them go and find a club like this for men, they should start their own thing, not come on the coat tails of ours.
Blessings,
I have told everybody that I come into contact with about BBWO. Since I work with quite a number of men I could not help mentioning BBWO to them. I suggested that they let as many women as possible know about us. When they heard about the Black Business Collective Group they really wanted to join.
After some thought I agree with Sista Cee Cee.

So does that mean that the men, such as myself, who have been here much since the beginning, will be booted out or will we be asked to quietly leave. I have made quite a few friends here, and would love to continue bringing business to the ladies that except my friendship.
There will definitely not be any booting going on David. As I mentioned in my previous announcement about 'Making BBWO Exclusive to Women', all our current male members are very much welcome to remain BBWO members and actively contribute to the group. I most definitely do not want you to feel like you can't contribute, as I would hope all members (both male and female) are comfortable here. I just wanted to here peoples thoughts on opening up the group to new male members, as quite a few have requested to join.
I agree with CC, I think it is important for women to have a place just for us, especially since many of our businesses are geared specifically towards women! Men have countless amounts of places and groups that they can join, let us have SOMETHING that's ours alone.
Perhaps you could ask them why they feel BBWO is the group for them. There are so many other black entrepreneur groups out there, why do they feel joining a group for black busineswomen would benefit them, besides the standard "networking" answer.
Personally, I like the solidarity of "sistapreneurs". I like the fact that it's just us gals connecting. I don't think that men would enhance the quality of the group at this time.
