If you’re like many of the clients I’ve consulted with recently, you want to know exactly how to create a marketing message that really resonates with and appeals to your ideal client online.

“What are the words and language I should use to connect with them?”

“How do I know what will inspire and motivate them to take action?”

These are questions I get all the time. And after asking them to tell me everything they know about their ideal client, it becomes clear what piece of the puzzle they are missing.

Most coaches and consultants I speak to want to focus on demographics: age, income level, geographical location, profession, gender, etc. This is all great information to have; however, if you really want to know what makes your ideal client tick and what buttons to push, you must focus on psychographics.

What do they value?

What are their belief systems?

What stresses them out and keeps them up at night?

What is that number one thing they want to do, have or experience?

If you don’t know the answer to these questions, do some market research. A little bit of research goes a long way.
